Kismet stood behind Herbert, watching the two Tier 3 Wizards of the Land of No Owner engage in a fierce battle.

"Herbert is getting impatient." He stood amidst the flames, yet the fire did not scorch his body.

The Black Tide had clearly not erupted completely, yet Herbert had made his move, only to have his intentions discovered by the Wind Demon.

Herbert's original plan was to take advantage of the Black Tide's emergence, pretend to lose control and undergo Alienation, then prevent others from sealing the Wind Eye, and finally, seize the Anchor Point that would appear when the Black Tide fully erupted.

Although the Anchor Point hidden within the Wind Eye would bring about immense disaster and mass death, it was a double-edged sword.

Its immense value in the study of Witchcraft made it a coveted prize for the two major wizard factions.

If the leaders of those two factions hadn't retained a shred of sanity, they likely wouldn't be trying to seal the Wind Eye; they would be wishing for as many Wind Eyes to appear as possible!

Yet, Herbert had chosen to be selfish at this moment, trading everyone's lives for a single Anchor Point!

Unfortunately, plans rarely survive reality.

Thor had not obediently become a sacrifice for the Wind Eye, and Pearl had actually noticed his subtle maneuvers.

Kismet knew that Herbert was now intent on killing the Wind Demon, so that no one else present would be his match.

Even he, despite having a cooperation agreement with Herbert, was likely already on his kill list.

However, Kismet had never worried about his own situation.
