An Invitation from the Judgment Court

"Are you Wizards from the Judgment Court? What brings you here?" Thor nodded slightly in greeting.

"We came to investigate Kaositer and Baidong Academy's secret efforts to raise a highly dangerous Demonic Creature. But it seems you, Lord Thor, have already resolved this disaster."

Thor looked back at Kaositer in the distance.

Resolved?

Perhaps. As far as the Judgment Court was concerned, Thor had contained the greatest uncertainty.

Unless they still intended to wrest the Inverted Tree from him, the source of the uprising had indeed been eliminated. But the disaster caused by the Inverted Tree hadn't been dealt with.

There were no survivors left in Kaositer's Inner City. There should still be a few in the Outer City.

The sacrifice was the real disaster for them.

"Will the Judgment Court send people in to search for survivors?" Thor asked.

Shadu, standing opposite him, shook his head without hesitation.

"If they were ordinary people, they would have been completely corrupted the moment the Inverted Tree erupted. Even if they're still alive now, they'd be barely breathing. As for Wizards, those who survived when you stopped the disaster have naturally been rescued. They'll come out on their own."

That was what made Wizards terrifying.

For ordinary people, being slaughtered by Wizards was worse than facing a natural disaster.

Even if they didn't die in the disaster itself, they would later perish from the various forms of radiation and corruption caused by Wizards.

"I was naive," Thor said with a self-mocking smile.

"Stopping the disaster from spreading wasn't naive. It was noble." Shadu smiled and shamelessly buttered Thor up.

Even Thor, the person being praised, found it ironic. The other man, however, looked perfectly sincere.

Then Shadu changed the subject. "May I ask whether you've already executed the head of Baidong Academy?"
