His encounter with Kismet was very brief.
After Ophelia's Mental Power drifted over through the seawater, Kismet told Thor to leave first while he stayed behind to face the Sky City Lord's wrath on his behalf.
Though he felt a little bad about it, Thor readily agreed to leave the trouble to Kismet.
Then he continued flying toward his intended destination.
Long after he had taken off, no battle between two Tier 4 Wizards broke out behind him.
Thor looked back several times, but saw nothing unusual.
"They didn't fight?" he wondered.
Kismet had once disguised himself as a Second Rank Wizard and pretended to accept Ophelia as his master. There had been an element of mockery in it.
There must have been quite a bit of bad blood between them.
Yet, unexpectedly, they still hadn't come to blows.
"Looks like Kismet talked Ophelia into going back."
As long as there was no direct clash, that was for the best.
After all, Ophelia was a Tier 4 Wizard and the Sky City Lord. Her influence might be relatively small among the Tier 4 Wizards, but she was not to be underestimated.
It was good to avoid escalating the conflict.
After waiting for more than ten minutes without seeing any pursuers behind him, Thor finally let out a sigh of relief.
"Looks like we've escaped with our lives."
The other Consciousness Entities all congratulated Thor.
Only Pearl's remnant spirit seemed dissatisfied.
[Look at you, acting so pleased with yourself. You were just lucky enough to run into Kismet. If not, you'd probably have been caught by that Old Witch by now, following your original plan. Be grateful for your luck, or that Old Witch would've eaten you up—and then really eaten you up!]
Thor shook his head.
"An ethereal, unpredictable force
