Although Thor was a Tier 3 Wizard, even the Emperor of Eternal Night should have personally welcomed him.

But Thor wouldn't dwell on such things. It wasn't as if he would necessarily show the emperor any respect, either.

Several Eternal Night ministers and nobles stood respectfully nearby, but without Thor's signal, they didn't dare approach.

The group also included several carefully selected beautiful women of various ages. Most wizards didn't care about looks, but some were still given to indulging in beauty.

If one of them caught someone's eye, she'd gain a powerful backer!

Unfortunately, Thor didn't even look at them this time. He simply walked across the golden carpet and boarded the carriage bound for the Eternal Night Royal Palace.

Thor assumed the carriage would take him to meet that Emperor of Eternal Night. But after bringing him to the Eternal Night Royal Palace, they simply settled him in a lavish, spacious Palace.

It was furnished with everything he could need, all of it exquisite and expensive, as if they'd brought him the finest things Eternal Night had to offer.

But unlike the lavish material comforts, no one paid Thor any attention after he entered the Palace.

It wasn't that no one was attending to him. Countless guards and maids stood outside. At a single command from Thor, hundreds of people would rush to serve him.

But the people who really ought to have come see him never showed up.

For instance, the Emperor of Eternal Night. Or people from the Judgment Court.

Thor wasn't in a hurry, though. They had invited him to solve the problem of the mermaids being corrupted by Black Tide Pollution, and he was prepared to spend half a year on the Nephrite Continent.
