Someone really was following me.
Thor thought to himself.
It was probably someone from the Star Gate Council.
As for why they were only following him without showing themselves, they were probably waiting for someone more important to appear.
Thor didn't call them out. He simply left with Jeffrey.
For some reason, Jeffrey was exceptionally warm toward Thor. He even suggested that they rent the same villa during the registration period.
Thor only said he would think about it.
The two of them rode a public carriage into the capital of the Olga Duchy.
Thor sat by the carriage window, his gaze sweeping constantly over the streets.
Jeffrey, sitting beside him, assumed Thor had only just arrived from the Stat Continent and was curious about his new surroundings.
"The Olga Duchy isn't the strongest country, but because it's close to the Star-Gazing Tower, public order here has always been good. A lot of Wizard Apprentices want to settle here." Jeffrey didn't look at the scenery or passersby on either side of the street.
He kept staring at the Star-Gazing Tower in the distance.
"But the academic environment here is nothing compared to what you'll find inside the Star-Gazing Tower. That's why entering the tower is every Wizard's long-cherished wish."
Thor had been looking for people with Red Worms crawling on them. Hearing Jeffrey go on about how much he wanted to join the Star Gate Council, he finally humored him by looking toward the Star-Gazing Tower ahead.
The white Star-Gazing Tower stood some distance from Olga, but it was so tall that, even from far away, it looked as if it rose at the end of the street.
The top and base of the tower were fairly wide, while its middle was slender and slightly curved. At first glance, it
