Half a month later, Sol returned from the Stat Continent, with Kismet at his side.
Kismet seemed to have gotten over the blow of not becoming the Fifth Target. Every day, he followed Sol around, either playing music or lying on the roof to watch the sky.
Sol thought his problem had something to do with the Diary, but Kismet had no intention of talking about it.
Still, although Kismet never mentioned what had happened to him, he had become much more obedient.
The only thing he stubbornly held on to was calling Sol "Little Brother Master."
After disembarking from the Airship, Sol asked Kismet, "Are you coming back with me?"
Kismet tossed the Harp in his hands around like a ball. "No. I'm not interested in the experiments you're doing now. If you want to kill someone, you can come find me."
Hearing that, Sol, who had also been about to leave, suddenly stopped and turned around. "Can I kill anyone?"
"Ha! Anyone at all!"
"I'll remember you said that."
After leaving the Airship, Kismet indeed didn't follow him. As for where he was going, Sol had no way to track him.
Ever since this guy had regained his Tier 4 strength, he had kept a much lower profile than before. As long as he didn't want to show himself, it seemed no one could find him.
As Sol walked toward Byron's residence, Beth, inside the Diary, reminded him:
[It seems like Kismet is following you, as if he's afraid you'll go back to Stat and never return.]
Sol kept walking. "You noticed that too?"
He had suddenly appeared aboard the Airship when Sol pretended to be angry and went back to Stat. Then he left when Sol received Douglas's letter asking him to return.
