Background and Nature
Lu Feng awakened the Strongest Faction System after arriving in the Douluo Plane and gained the martial soul Arceus alongside a built-in Pokémon World. He prefers creating Pokémon through the Power of Creation rather than developing native soul masters, since Pokémon can gain levels through battle and training at a markedly faster pace. 1
Pokémon may be created by sacrificing soul-beast remains and reincarnating them as Pokémon Eggs. Their potential and growth rate are determined by the cultivation of the original soul beast; materials can include Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beasts and even divine-beast remains. 1
The Pokémon World contains starters, pseudo-legendaries, and other high-potential species. Its rules prevent permanent death: defeated Pokémon enter a self-protection state and can recover after receiving berries. 1
Growth Systems
Leveling and Evolution
Pokémon can increase their strength through battle and training rather than relying on soul rings. Their evolution can reshape their bodies, overcome earlier racial weaknesses, and occur during pivotal battles. 1 5
- Charizard's progression from Charmander to its final form occurred through repeated combat with a blue turtle and other opponents. 5
- Gengar progressed from Gastly to Haunter and then Gengar by absorbing the dense ghost energy naturally radiated by a supreme shadow, reaching Level 89 despite little conventional battle experience. 10
- Mega Evolution is not exclusive to Charizard; other Pokémon, including Alakazam, Gardevoir, Metagross, and several Fire-types, can access Mega forms. 18 38 53
Divine-Beast Transformation
The Power of Creation can reshape powerful souls and origins into divine Pokémon with new bodies, laws, and authorities. This process differs from ordinary cultivation and can allow soul-beast origins to reach godhood. 47 71 87
- Mewtwo was created by reincarnating the Sky Dream Ice Silkworm's origin with spiritual laws and Mew's genes, becoming a psychic divine beast. 71
- Groudon was created from power extracted from the Douluo Continent's core and became a Level 1 God through earth authority and absorbed divine essence. 47
- Rayquaza was forged from the core origin of the Ice and Fire Dragon Kings, combined with sky and stellar laws. 86 87
Trainer Contracts and Fusion
Pokémon can establish voluntary contracts with soul masters through converted spirit rings functioning as Poké Balls. The resulting connection is intended as a partnership rather than a master–servant relationship. 42
- A captured Pokémon forms a clear soul connection with its partner and can absorb compatible divine power. 42
- Qian Renxue's Angel God power enabled Cosmog to evolve into Cosmoem and then Solgaleo, demonstrating the compatibility of Pokémon power with the Spirit Master system. 43
- The fusion system can use Law Fragments and sacrificed soul rings to allow both a Pokémon and soul master to mobilize Divine Realm authority. 58
- Electrolux and Darkrai are recognized as pioneers of deep Pokémon–Spirit Master fusion. 45
Techniques and Equipment
Moves and Tactical Combat
Pokémon combat incorporates type interactions, status enhancement, movement techniques, form changes, move combinations, and rule-based effects. These methods allow lower-level Pokémon to defeat stronger soul masters. 7 29
- Dragon Dance — raises a user's attack power and speed; Charizard and Rayquaza use repeated stacks to build overwhelming momentum. 6 89
- Extreme Speed — used by Pokémon such as Mewtwo, Rayquaza, Arcanine, and others for high-speed engagements. 1 53
- Trick — a Psychic-type move that exchanges held items according to a rule of equivalent exchange; Metagross used it against a soul master, making spirit bones vulnerable to forced exchange. 15 17
- Follow Me — Mimikyu redirected Qian Daoliu's area attack toward itself. 26
- Psychic Terrain, Confuse Ray, and Psystrike — Mewtwo used these techniques to disrupt the God Kings' fusion and collapse their combined form. 98
- Substitute and Dragon Ascent — Mega Rayquaza created a clone before combining their power for a massive attack against the God Kings. 91
Held Items
The Pokémon World possesses equipment with no stated carrying-number limit, though an item's power does not automatically scale with its holder. Divine beasts require god-tier enhancements to activate some items effectively. 15
- Focus Sash — allowed Mimikyu to survive Qian Daoliu's Judgment after redirecting the attack with Follow Me. 26
- Spirit bones — can be treated as held items for the purposes of Trick, exposing soul masters to forced item exchange. 15 17
- Berries — restore defeated Pokémon protected by the Pokémon World's self-preservation rules. 1

Story Role / Major Arcs
Heavenly Pride Ranking and Arena Tournaments
The Pokémon World is revealed to the Douluo Continent through the Heavenly Dao Ranking. Charizard's listing as an eight-year-old Level 83 Pokémon exposes its unusual growth system and triggers the first Heavenly Pride Arena Tournament. 3
Charizard defeats Yu Yuanzhen, a Level 95 Titled Douluo, by evading his lightning, stacking Dragon Dance, Mega Evolving into its X Form, and finishing with a claw strike, Seismic Toss, and Fire Blast. 6 7
Subsequent ranked Pokémon—including Gengar, Mimikyu, Chansey, Spiritomb, Alakazam, and others—demonstrate coordinated tactics and rule-based abilities that undermine conventional soul-master advantages. 8 17 26 29
Pokémon–Spirit Master Fusion
Lu Feng introduces Qian Renxue to Cosmog and guides her in converting spirit rings into a Poké Ball. Their successful partnership establishes a practical model for combining Pokémon and Spirit Master power. 42 43
Electrolux and Darkrai's ranking formally recognizes this fusion path, inspiring Martial Soul Hall and other factions to seek Pokémon partners and alternative cultivation systems. 45 46
Divine Realm Expansion
Fire-type Pokémon enter the God Realm for training, turning its volcanic regions into a chaotic contest for Law Fragments. Their battles shift from species conflict to resource competition as fragments become available. 52 53 54
Rayquaza, Groudon, Kyogre, and Mewtwo expand their respective Divine Realms and confront the God Realm's highest powers. Rayquaza ultimately unites the sky, land, and sea domains, while Mewtwo's psychic tactics disrupt the God Kings' fusion. 87 93 98
Defense of Heaven Dou City
Ghost-type Pokémon protect civilians from Evil Soul Masters. Aegislash saves survivors, Chandelure stops a partially transformed attacker, and Gengar leads an ambush against more than thirty Evil Soul Masters. 118
The rescued civilians' gratitude becomes Power of Faith, which Ghost Pokémon redirect to Electrolux. The faith purifies and completes his soul, after which the Ghost Pokémon gather under him as the Necromancer God worshipped by Pokémon. 119
Trivia
- Pokémon are neither treated as ordinary humans nor recognized by Douluo's inhabitants as conventional soul beasts. 3
- Their combat system combines speed, buffs, type interactions, form changes, held items, and move combinations in ways unfamiliar to Douluo soul masters. 7
- The Pokémon World's self-protection mechanism makes defeat nonlethal, enabling repeated training battles without permanent casualties. 1
- Lu Feng's Pokémon World is described as a small world or “storage item” rather than a direct defensive tool; its continued development depends on resources and world origin supplied by Lu Feng. 43
