Before entering the Main God Space, Tang Tian worked in construction and watched old Hong Kong films to pass the time. He later identifies with Da Mengzi because both men were construction workers killed by falling rebar caused by unsafe practices 15 60.

He joined the Shazhou Team as a newcomer after the Yautja trial. Grateful that Fang Xiu saved him, he quickly accepted Fang Xiu as his captain and sought his guidance on strengthening, though he ultimately chose the Spider Mutation Lineage over the captain's suggested options 10 11 16.

Cloverfield Trial

Tang Tian serves as a technical and logistical specialist. He cracks the team's ID cards, briefs recruits, distributes weapons and antidotes, analyzes local resources, and helps search for the hidden laboratory 48 49.

During the crisis in New York, he saves Da Mengzi from danger and secures a Storage Ring as payment, though Da Mengzi ultimately dies before returning to the Main God Space 60 62.

*A Chinese Ghost Story* Trial

After obtaining Daoist artifacts, Tang Tian takes part in the Shazhou Team's coordinated operation against Pudu Cihang. He volunteers to intercept the demon at Ten-Mile Pavilion so Fang Xiu can complete the battlefield formation, using the Lingguan Token to resist Pudu Cihang's supernatural techniques 68 94 95.

He then fights the demon's lesser forces with Spider-Sense and the Peach Wood Swords while Fang Xiu engages Pudu Cihang directly 96.
