"What kind of place did these monsters come from?!"
Kaku was having a hard time.
The main problem was that these enemies never fought him head-on. None of the moves he had learned before could pose any threat to them.
His only ranged attack was Rankyaku.
He couldn't hit them at all. Every now and then his vision would blur, and he'd kick a wooden post that turned into a stone block.
Just brushing against them has almost numbed my arm.
As expected, close-quarters combat isn't a good choice.
Itachi was also completely focused.
The battle between the ninjas and these CP9 agents was much like the Survey Corps' battles against the Titans in Attack on Titan.
The Survey Corps was agile and had a chance to kill the Titans, but they absolutely couldn't afford to make a mistake.

Just before the blade struck, Rob Lucci appeared and kicked Itachi, sending him flying through the wall of a nearby building. He was buried beneath the rubble.
"What are you doing, Kaku?!"
Rob Lucci glared at Kaku, his face dark.
With Itachi's mental pressure gone, Kaku immediately came to his senses and understood what had happened.
"That guy used some strange technique!"
Kaku hurriedly explained.
At the same time, he felt relieved to see Rob Lucci back.
These enemies were too troublesome, and there were two more watching him from the sidelines. He couldn't focus at all.
"Itachi!"
Izumi noticed Itachi being kicked away. She lost focus and cried out in concern.
"An opening!"
Blueno moved right up to Izumi and thrust out his fist like a bullet.
But a moment later, his whole body went numb.
He looked down and saw a charged Kunai embedded in his right calf.
"Don't get distracted, Izumi."
Uchiha Tamaharu said coldly.
Izumi was startled.
Blueno had already recovered. After all, his physical constitution was completely different from that of people in the Shinobi World.
One charged Kunai wasn't enough to render him incapable of fighting.
He raised his hand again and punched Izumi.
"Bang!"
"Huh?"
Blueno stared as Izumi turned into smoke, dumbfounded.
"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!"
An iron-wire net sprang up from the ground and caught Blueno.
Nearby, Izumi was concealed in a corner, holding the wires.
She had prepared the trap in advance, though she really had been distracted when she looked over at Itachi.
"Dragon Fire Technique!"
Izumi unleashed Fire Release.
A dragon of fire raced along the wires straight toward Blueno.
Blueno tried to use his ability to escape, but opening a space took more time than he had.
Just before the fire dragon hit him, a mass of bubbles appeared in front of him.
But the bubbles couldn't withstand Fire Release, which had undergone a change in nature. The flames pierced through them and set Blueno ablaze, though their power was greatly diminished.
"Who are you people?!"
Rob Lucci glared at Uchiha Tamaharu and Shisui.
He had wanted to save Blueno just now, but the moment he moved, he sensed danger.
It came from the two people standing not far in front of him.
"Fall back. Everyone, regroup here."
Uchiha Tamaharu ignored Rob Lucci and issued the order instead.
At his command, Yashiro, Izumi, and the others immediately broke off the fight and returned to stand behind him.
Fukuro and the others hesitated, then chose to stand beside Rob Lucci.
Itachi also climbed out of the rubble. He wasn't injured, since he had used Susanoo.
But he had only just awakened it and wasn't used to it yet, so he was still hurt.
Soon, Rob Lucci and the others looked furious.
They saw someone emerge from an alley, gripping Kalifa by the throat.
But a moment later, they froze. The person holding Kalifa by the throat looked exactly like the person standing not far in front of them, giving orders.
"So this is what happens to a Devil Fruit User whose abilities are suppressed by Seastone. They can barely fight back at all."
"Bang."
Uchiha Tamaharu spoke as he dispelled the Shadow Clone.
He had secretly left a Shadow Clone behind. When it saw Kalifa go to rescue Blueno, it easily crept up beside her and cuffed her with Seastone Handcuffs.
Even Marco the Phoenix couldn't do anything once cuffed. Kalifa, who had only eaten a Devil Fruit recently, had even less chance of resisting. She was left completely weak, and the Shadow Clone subdued her with ease.
Kalifa looked unwilling, but there was nothing she could do.
"What exactly is your goal? Talk."
Rob Lucci asked coldly.
He could tell these people weren't from the World Government. Otherwise, they wouldn't have wasted so much time.
Besides, the World Government had ordered them killed. There'd be no reason to capture Kalifa.
"I want you to be a sparring partner."
"Shisui, are you up to it?"
Uchiha Tamaharu spoke, then turned to ask Shisui.
Rob Lucci's strength was roughly on par with Sixth Gate Guy.
For Shisui in perfect condition, he wouldn't be a problem.
But Shisui was injured now and couldn't bring out his full strength, so the outcome was uncertain.
Rob Lucci was injured too, which was why Uchiha Tamaharu asked Shisui. Neither of them was at their peak.
"No problem."
Shisui nodded.
Itachi looked at Shisui with concern, while Izumi watched the blood at the corner of Itachi's mouth, also worried.
"Did you never consider that you might lose control and all die here?!"

Itachi, Izumi, and the others were all startled.
