Watching Sasuke order with that indifferent look on his face, Naruto was absolutely furious. If it weren't for Sasuke, he could have at least eaten ramen for another half a month; how could he be left without even enough money for a single meal!
"You should go. Since we're classmates, I'll cover your bill!" Ignoring Naruto's tantrum, Sasuke replied nonchalantly while continuing to digest the knowledge regarding the Flying Thunder God in his mind.
"I... alright!" Naruto, who had originally intended to retort to Sasuke's indifferent tone, recalled that he truly had no money and, after struggling for a long time, finally lowered his noble head in silence.
"Thank..."
"So you really are broke!"
Just as Naruto was about to thank Sasuke for bailing him out, Sasuke blurted out that sentence, leaving Naruto speechless.
"If it weren't for you, I..." Looking at Sasuke's back, Naruto roared loudly, having been scolded once again, but he suddenly thought of something and stopped mid-sentence.
"You'll pay for me, right?" Having regained his composure, Naruto looked at the busy Ichiraku Ramen owner and asked in a low voice behind Sasuke's back.
"Of course, I always keep my word!" Seeing Naruto looking so pathetic, Sasuke didn't even turn his head, simply waving his hand calmly.
"Great!" Seeing that Sasuke had agreed to pay for him, Naruto left in a state of wild joy.
"Naruto, your cells and your father's Kunai will be the payment for this meal!" After Naruto left, Sasuke turned his head and thought silently to himself.
"Your noodles are ready!"
The Ichiraku Ramen owner's reminder brought Sasuke back from his thoughts, and he began to tackle his hunger.
After finishing his ramen with all the toppings, Sasuke put down the money and headed straight toward his new home.
"What a truly wonderful bond!" In the Hokage office, Sarutobi Hiruzen watched what had just happened at the Ichiraku Ramen shop and smiled with satisfaction.
An Uchiha who has inherited the Will of Fire, and the son of Minato—both are excellent chess pieces!
"Only one year left until graduation? It seems my chess pieces will soon be put to use!" Closing the image on the crystal ball, Sarutobi Hiruzen gazed into the distance and began to mutter to himself.
Back home, Sasuke continued to sleep, as the knowledge regarding the Flying Thunder God would slowly be absorbed while he slept.
The next morning, after Sasuke opened his eyes, he shook his head and suddenly realized that the heavy feeling in his mind had vanished.
"Flying Thunder God, have I finally mastered it completely?" With this realization, Sasuke quickly took out a Kunai to begin experimenting. As he injected his Chakra, a Tomoe Seal quickly appeared on the surface of the Kunai.
"It's not very stable! Is it a problem with the material?" Looking at the Kunai that could only manifest a single Tomoe, Sasuke curled his lips in frustration.
Sasuke's Flying Thunder God seal should be a three-Tomoe mark, but this Kunai could only produce one, which clearly wasn't suitable as a carrier for the seal.
"It really worked!"
Although the Kunai couldn't serve as a carrier for the seal, there was no denying that Sasuke had successfully mastered the Flying Thunder God; after all, that mark was the best proof.
"Next is time to slack off!" Looking at the sun on the horizon, Sasuke smiled with satisfaction and then headed toward the Ninja Academy.
Slack off? Fishing for three days and drying nets for two is fine; after all, with Sasuke's current strength, even if he let Naruto develop for three years, wouldn't he still be killed in one move? It was meaningless.
Upon arriving at the Ninja Academy, Sasuke slumped onto his desk and began to sleep, as the education at the Ninja Academy was of no use to him anymore.
The current instructor? Sasuke figured he could take on a dozen of him by himself; that shouldn't be a big problem. If it were a hundred, it might be a bit risky, as Sasuke couldn't expose many of his methods.
"Is this guy here for a vacation?" Shikamaru, who arrived in the classroom after Sasuke, looked at the sleeping Sasuke and really didn't know what to say.
But thinking about it, it made sense. He had started training in Wind Release nature transformation years ago, so his current strength must be far ahead of everyone else. Sleeping was normal behavior. Even he himself was listless in class; after all, what was taught at the Ninja Academy was just too boring. Except for some idiots, basically everyone had already learned it!
"Sasuke!"
Just as Shikamaru was thinking this, Naruto shouted Sasuke's name and walked in quickly!
"Baka! Why are you sleeping as soon as you get here?" Entering the classroom, Naruto looked at the sleeping Sasuke and really didn't know what to say; after all, he didn't have the habit of sleeping as soon as he arrived in the classroom either!
"Shh, keep it down!"
Just as Naruto walked into the classroom, Sakura, who had followed him in, noticed that Sasuke was already asleep and made a shushing gesture to the two of them.
"I'll sleep for a bit too!" Regarding Sakura's gesture, Shikamaru shook his head helplessly and then returned to his seat to start sleeping.
Naruto, seeing that his good friend Shikamaru and the Sasuke who had helped him were both sleeping, found himself doing the same and slumped onto his desk to sleep.
The students who arrived afterward, finding that a large group in the classroom had already fallen asleep, quickly joined the ranks of the sleepers.
When the class bell rang, Iruka, with a complex expression, pushed open the door and saw everyone sleeping. Thinking Sasuke hadn't arrived yet, Iruka wrote the words "Self-Study" in large characters on the blackboard.
This situation lasted for an entire day, until the next day when Iruka accidentally saw Sasuke sleeping, which prompted him to wake up the students who hadn't fully mastered the knowledge taught at the Ninja Academy.
Among them was the clueless Naruto. As for the others, especially Sasuke, Iruka didn't bother with them at all. They would graduate no matter what, but Naruto was different; if that guy could graduate, it would be a miracle from the heavens.
Soon, the graduation season at the Ninja Academy arrived. On this day, many parents were waiting outside the classroom for their children's assessment results; after all, for Konoha, producing a ninja was a matter of bringing honor to the family.
Of course, Naruto and Sasuke had no parents there; both of their parents had passed away, so it was impossible for them to come.
Sasuke was a bit better off than Naruto; Sasuke still had an irresponsible older brother, but if that person were to return, Konoha probably wouldn't need to hold a Ninja Academy graduation ceremony at all.
The assessment was based on rankings, and since Sasuke was the top student in the class, he was naturally the first. As Sasuke entered the assessment classroom, he gently patted Naruto on the shoulder.
"Good luck!"
Leaving Naruto with those words, Sasuke slowly walked into the assessment classroom!
"What a weirdo!"
Dynamic vision, Flying Thunder God, preparing in advance to trap Naruto!
