"Medical Ninjutsu? Who am I supposed to learn that from? Besides, that wouldn't even make sense! Looks like I'll have to use Copy by force!"

"But a simple cell transplant shouldn't be that complicated! The real problem is that I only have one chance at a special fusion. After awakening the Mangekyō Sharingan, I'll definitely need some time to adjust, so I'd better transplant the cells first!"

After thinking it over, Sasuke looked toward the Naruto Cells in his storage slot and took them out.

This was what Sasuke found most unreasonable about the storage slot. Whether it was the Mangekyō Sharingan or the cells, he had to perform the surgery himself. The system only handled the fusion after the transplant.

Sasuke found this pretty exasperating. Fusing cells was simple: he just had to make an incision, put the cells inside, and let them fuse. Bloodline fusion worked the same way. But transplanting the Mangekyō Sharingan required at least some medical knowledge.

The moment the transplant began, Sasuke felt waves of pain coming from the wound. Clearly, his own cells weren't welcoming Naruto's.

"If I weren't trying to get stronger, I wouldn't want them either!" Enduring the pain, he opened the cell fusion panel and activated the fusion.

As soon as the fusion began, Sasuke felt a mysterious energy enter his right arm. The pain vanished, replaced by a warm sensation.

The warmth spread through his entire right arm, then quickly traveled farther. In the blink of an eye, Sasuke felt his whole body grow scorching hot. Along with the heat came a sense of comfort so intense that he almost cried out.

After a long while, the fusion was complete. Sasuke could feel his Chakra reserves had increased dramatically. If they had been a lake before, they were now an ocean—a qualitative leap.

When the fusion ended, Sasuke suddenly noticed his skin beginning to crack and peel away. Pieces fell in front of him, revealing fresh new skin beneath.

"A complete rebirth?"

Looking at his skin, which seemed fresher than before, Sasuke slowly came up with those four words.

While Sasuke was still pondering the changes to his body, the system panel suddenly appeared before him.

"Ha ha ha ha ha ha!" Seeing the system's notification, Sasuke couldn't help bursting into laughter. Now that he had a Sage Body, it seemed his theory had been right.

Once he had gathered Naruto Cells, Hashirama Cells, the Uzumaki Bloodline, and the Senju Bloodline, he would probably possess Asura's bloodline. Combined with the Uchiha Bloodline Crystal he had absorbed, which had awakened his Indra Bloodline, fusing those two bloodlines would give him the Sage of Six Paths' bloodline.

Feeling his body's abilities improving across the board, Sasuke laughed loudly, then went into the bathroom. His body was still shedding its old skin.

After washing up, Sasuke sat on the bed and looked at his panel, momentarily taken aback. It seemed the system panel changed as his strength increased. After he acquired the Sage Body, his basic nature transformations no longer appeared on the basic panel. Instead, a new panel had appeared.

After opening the basic nature transformation panel, Sasuke looked surprised. He had acquired Earth Release by directly fusing a crystal, while Yang Release had come from absorbing Naruto's cells just now. What puzzled him was Yin Release. It hadn't appeared before.

"Are Yin and Yang one?" Looking at the newly added Yin Release, Sasuke came up with a random theory, then stopped paying attention to it. They were only basic nature transformations, after all. Nothing special.

Something unexpected happened. No blood flowed from Sasuke's wound. Instead, wisps of white steam rose from it, and the cut slowly began to heal.

Five minutes later, Sasuke's finger had returned to normal. He could only shake his head helplessly. He was still a long way from Senju Hashirama's level.

"No rush. Just wait a little longer. I'll get Senju Hashirama's cells soon!" Thinking of his plan, Sasuke went to sleep with an unsettling smile.

The next morning, Sasuke still sent his Shadow Clone to meet up with Kakashi and the others. The missions they had been doing lately were bound to be pointless, so Sasuke felt a Shadow Clone could handle them.

As for Sasuke himself, he changed his appearance and slowly made his way into the Konoha Library to look up the information he needed—in this case, material on ophthalmology.

When it came to an eye transplant, Sasuke still thought it was more reliable to have a Shadow Clone do it. He didn't trust anyone else.

After arriving at the meeting place at the agreed-upon time, Shadow Clone Sasuke found Kakashi—who had, for once, arrived early—and Sakura, who was already waiting there.

"Very punctual, aren't you? Right on the dot!" When Sasuke arrived, Kakashi checked the time and gave a resigned shrug.

"Of course. I'm not someone who shows up late!" Sasuke gave a casual explanation and stood to one side, waiting. The dead-last who had brought him so much had yet to arrive.

Soon, Asuma took Shikamaru, Choji, and Ino to accept a mission and left. As they went, Shikamaru and the others gave Sasuke and Sakura sympathetic looks. Being stuck with that king of tardiness was a tragedy in itself.

After Team 10 left, Team 8, led by Kurenai, accepted a mission and departed as well. The three of them couldn't avoid getting teased again.
