Looking at the somewhat cumbersome ninjutsu on his Sharingan panel, Sasuke suddenly wanted to fuse them. After all, he didn't like trouble; simpler was better.

Opening the fusion panel, Sasuke first fused the Bringer-of-Darkness Technique with the newly acquired Hell Viewing Technique, as both were simple genjutsu.

Looking at the final result of the fusion, Sasuke was a bit speechless. Was it really that lazy? It couldn't even be bothered to come up with a name, though this new genjutsu did look quite good! Sealing vision and then tormenting someone—it sounded rather cool.

After fusing these two, Sasuke suddenly realized there was nothing left in his Sharingan repertoire that could be fused further. This was quite frustrating. Kyōka Suigetsu was definitely impossible, and Genjutsu: True Manifestation was also out of the question, as both were bug-level genjutsu. As for the two Demonic Illusion skills, Sasuke didn't want to fuse them; they were the standard equipment of the Uchiha clan, after all! If he didn't know them, wouldn't that be too embarrassing?

Returning to the Sharingan panel, Sasuke spent 900 general proficiency points to max out Demonic Illusion: Mirror Heaven and Earth Change. Since this was a technique obtained after absorbing the bloodline crystal, its proficiency cap remained at the original 1000 rather than the 5000 of his current Sharingan, which left Sasuke somewhat disappointed.

As the Sharingan panel floated before his eyes, Sasuke's expression was complex. He hadn't expected that the genjutsu the original body was least proficient in would become his most terrifying ability. It left him feeling a mix of amusement and frustration, but Sasuke had no complaints; as long as it made him stronger, why worry about the rest?

Closing the panel, Sasuke began to continue researching his self-created ninjutsu and the further development of the Taiji Rasengan. After all, only special fusion opportunities could bring about a qualitative change in his strength, and his next target was the so-called "Konoha Pot King": Shimura Danzō.

This man possessed not only the Sharingan of the Uchiha clan but also the Senju Hashirama cells that Sasuke had been longing for. Furthermore, he held Uchiha Shisui's Mangekyō Sharingan. Any one of these was enough to warrant Shimura Danzō's death.

Of course, to successfully take down Danzō, some planning was required. After all, that guy Shisui's right eye was a bit of a bug, so he had to be careful. Plus, with that hand of his full of "resurrection coins," it was still quite troublesome.

He wasn't discouraged, however; developing ninjutsu could be done at any time, but a plan to kill Danzō couldn't be thought up just whenever.

During this half-month, Team 7, led by Kakashi, had successfully completed 10 D-rank missions, which was quite terrifying for newcomers.

That night, an unbelievable event occurred in Konoha: the Sealing Scroll had been stolen yet again, and along with it, the Second Hokage's sword: the Sword of the Thunder God.

Shortly after this incident, Kakashi, who was diligently reading "Icha Icha Paradise" at home, was urgently summoned by the Hokage.

In the Hokage's office, Kakashi looked at the guilt-ridden Morino Ibiki beside him with a stunned expression. There was such a thing as this?

"Kakashi, the situation is sudden. This mission is entrusted to your Team 7. You must intercept that traitor before he enters the Land of Rain. As for that brat, bring him back if you can!"

After providing the intelligence obtained by the Anbu to Kakashi, Sarutobi Hiruzen looked at the nervous Morino Ibiki and spoke slowly.

"Understood!"

Hearing Sarutobi Hiruzen's order, Kakashi picked up the scroll containing the intelligence and left the Hokage's office immediately. Before leaving, he cast a helpless glance at Morino Ibiki.

After exiting the office, Kakashi immediately created three Shadow Clones to assemble his team, while he himself headed straight for the gates of Konoha.

Sasuke, who was still attempting to fuse the nature transformation of Wind Release with the Taiji Rasengan in the night, suddenly noticed Kakashi arriving in his courtyard.

"Emergency mission, assemble at the gate!"

Before Sasuke could even speak, Kakashi's Shadow Clone vanished into a puff of white smoke after relaying the assembly point.

"Emergency mission? Was there such a plot in the original story?"

Sasuke asked himself inwardly while heading toward the Konoha gates. It seemed that in the original story, the missions Sasuke went on never started at night!

"Forget it, everything has already changed so much, a little more won't hurt!"

Shaking his head to stop overthinking, Sasuke ran toward the gates at full speed.

When Sasuke arrived at the gates, he found that Naruto and Sakura were already waiting there. Sasuke curled his lips helplessly; after all, his house was the furthest away.

"Sasuke, you're late!" Naruto, not fully grasping the situation, grumbled at the late-arriving Sasuke.

"Alright, prepare to move out. I'll tell you the details on the way!"

Ignoring Naruto's complaints, Kakashi took off toward the distance as soon as he saw Sasuke arrive.

Seeing Kakashi's actions, the three of them quickly followed. They had never seen Kakashi look this anxious before; it seemed this really was a major mission.

Watching Kakashi moving at high speed ahead, Sasuke's gaze was surprised. So urgent—could it be that something important had been stolen? Wait, it wouldn't be the Sealing Scroll, would it?

Thinking of this, Sasuke glanced at Naruto beside him with surprise; after all, that guy should be quite familiar with this kind of thing!
