Background / History

Kijima was ostracized for his unusual behavior at age five and sought recognition from those around him. He later identifies a similar desire for validation in Morishita Ai. 15

Before enrolling at Advanced Nurturing High School, he had never attended school and had most everyday matters handled by others, leaving him unfamiliar with common tasks such as using an automatic ticket machine. 10 14 Despite this, he entered Class 1-A after placing first in the entrance examination with perfect scores in every subject. 16

Interested in the Student Council as a source of information, Kijima visits its offices with Yamamura. Horikita Manabu recognizes both his perfect academic record and terrifying strength, but refuses to admit him to the Council without first understanding his intentions. 15 16 20
