Nature and Principles

The Divine Path is a cultivation system built around Deities receiving faith, governing a Divine Domain and Jurisdiction, accumulating Divine Power, and sheltering believers. A deity’s growth is tied to both the number and strength of their followers, since believers generate Incense Wish Power and provide the offerings used in Grand Sacrifices. 1 9 16

Unlike cultivation paths that require practitioners to comprehend laws before advancing, the Divine Path uses Divine Power for promotion; a successful advancement naturally grants command of the corresponding laws. 377

Its early ranks include an Unranked state and the Subordinate and Principal divine ranks. At higher levels, the system includes the Three Pure Ones Dao Ancestor Divine Rank, the Dao-Treading Divine Rank, the Taboo Divine Rank, and historically recorded Dimension Divine Ranks. 1 1221 1370

At advanced stages, accumulated Divine Power alone is insufficient: promotion may also require particular grades and numbers of believers and Subordinate Gods, rare substances, personal dimensions, comprehension of the Path’s foundation, and the absorption of Divine Path rule power. Li Yue’s later progression includes the Dao-Wielding Divine Rank and its Mid and High stages. 531 853 1258 1466 1511 1577

The Divine Path differs from predominantly individual cultivation systems because its growth expands an entire religious and territorial hierarchy. Its development incorporates billions of believers, numerous Subordinate Gods, and institutional foundations rather than merely increasing one practitioner’s personal strength. 1399

Offerings and Hundredfold Amplification

Grand Sacrifices are one of the Divine Path’s defining mechanisms.

• An offering cannot carry direct karma from a deity; it must be obtained solely through the faithful’s own efforts. 1
• The Divine Path’s laws can amplify Grand Sacrifice offerings one hundredfold. Li Yue’s later interface identifies his associated talent as Endless Amplification. 1 650

Divine Domains and Jurisdictions

A Divine Domain is the core territory of a deity’s power. Li Yue begins with a Divine Domain only one zhang in radius, but later governs vast Jurisdictions and dimensions. 1

• Deities are strongest within their Jurisdictions; leaving them can reduce their strength. 227

Divine Arts and Divine Authority

The Divine Path grants Divine Arts that allow Deities to intervene in mortal and spiritual affairs.

• Early Divine Arts include Dream Projection Art, Golden Blade Art, Confer Ghost Soldier, and Confer Temple Keeper. 1
• Divine Arts may have strict activation requirements: Dream Projection requires a sleeping target, Confer Ghost Soldier requires a ghost, and Confer Temple Keeper requires specific conditions. 1
• Promotion unlocks stronger arts and increases their effectiveness even when they consume the same amount of Divine Power. 3

Life, Death, and Yin-Yang

Life, death, and Yin-Yang are integral to the Divine Path rather than separate from its territorial and faith-based functions. Li Yue later interprets the sequence from Land God to City God to Prefecture Lord as progressively deeper involvement in governing life and death, culminating in authority over both Yin and Yang. 1443

The Divine Path in Li Yue’s early universe initially lacked a true Netherworld Court and therefore possessed an incomplete yin side. This was subsequently addressed: Li Youming became the Netherworld Heavenly Son, the Netherworld Heaven and Earth became part of the Path’s underlying heritage, and the completion of its yin side was acknowledged before Li Yue received three Divine Path Wheel draws. 692 696 698

During his super-grade Taboo advancement, Li Yue discovers a mysterious force within his ten stars of life and death that surpasses both the Life Origin Great Dao and Death Origin Great Dao. He interprets this as evidence that the Divine Path may originate beyond the level of the Origin Great Daos, although its exact nature remains unresolved. 1443

Advancement Requirements

Divine Rank promotion becomes increasingly conditional at higher stages. The following are documented requirements rather than a complete list of every rank.

Divine Path Heavenly Realm

The Divine Path Heavenly Realm is an optional opportunity associated with Mid Dao-Wielding advancement. It is available only to exceptionally talented deities; ordinary Dao-Wielding members of the Hall of All Gods were not offered it. Ancient accounts suggest that previous Divine Path Leaders visited a mysterious place at this stage, though they left no precise descriptions. 1511 1548

To open it, Li Yue is asked what constitutes a god: a being born of heaven and earth, one sustained by living beings, or one who suppresses all enemies. He chooses the third answer, opening his own unique Heavenly Realm. His subsequent mission describes its difficulty as hell-level. 1548 1550

• The realm’s foundational laws differ so greatly from Li Yue’s familiar worlds that his speech, movement, and perception initially distort living beings and create monsters. Locals consequently perceive him as an extraterrestrial Evil God despite his identity as an Orthodox God. 1549 1550
• Its initial gods follow a faith-based path resembling that of Angel King A-Tai rather than Li Yue’s Eastern divine system. 1549
• The first mission requires destroying the nations’ gods and the multiverse’s Evil Gods, establishing Divine Path Rule in the Willing Blue Great World, and taking Luo Fuya as a Temple Keeper. 1550
• Completing the first mission grants an Origin Great Dao Fusion Divine Talisman; the second mission requires destroying the Merck Race and discovering its origin. 1553
• By completing the third task against the Western Cosmos Race, Li Yue brands Divine Path laws into the universe’s deepest reaches, making it the dominant path and reducing all other cultivation paths to lesser positions. 1559

History

Emergence in the Age of Deities

The Divine Path first appears to Li Yue through the interfaces and laws governing the transmigrated Wild Gods of the Age of Deities. It establishes the relationship between a deity, their believers, Incense Wish Power, Divine Power, Grand Sacrifices, and Divine Rank promotion. 1

Its early system also creates direct competition among deities through God War. Voluntary participants can be matched against deities of equal or higher Divine Rank, while victory offers believers, Divine Power, Blessing Talismans, and Divine Law Fragments. 9

A later Personal Quest describes the historical emergence of Deities as the event that broke the Immortal Path’s former supremacy, allowing the Heavenly, Earth, Human, Divine, Demon, Devil, and other paths to flourish together. This account is presented through the quest system. 294

Li Yue’s victories in Divine Path assemblies give him access to exceptional foundations. Fusing with the Origin of the Heavenly Monarch raises his divine essence but provokes an attack by humanoid lightning figures accusing him of violating heavenly rules. His later Subordinate Sixth Rank advancement likewise draws a Heavenly Clan enforcer. 77 78 254

Relationship with Humanity

The Divine Path is repeatedly linked to the Human Path. Li Yue maintains that the two paths have no inherent hierarchy: the Divine Path is born from the Human Race’s faith, while Deities protect and develop humanity. 205

Later, Li Yue reaches a deeper conclusion: “The Divine Path is the Human Path,” and enemies who prey upon humanity are also enemies of the Divine Path. 1310

Historic accounts describe Deities walking alongside human prodigies: humans established imperial dynasties to govern the living, while Deities conferred subordinate gods to oversee the world and matters after death. 254

This complementarity can nevertheless become politically unequal. Ji Xuanne worries that an overbearing Divine Path paired with a weakened Human Path could reduce the latter to a vassal, rather than preserving their intended mutual support. 222

Li Yue’s transformation of Four Seas County into a Luck Prefecture City illustrates their practical cooperation. Using the Great Zhou Imperial Dynasty’s luck, the city gains increased grain production, faster cultivation for registered citizens, longer lifespans, and more intelligent descendants. 254

Divine Courts and Collective Growth

The Divine Path once possessed the Nine Great Divine Courts, whose decline was attributed to entities known as Divine Path Parasites—beings that stole the Path’s luck for themselves. 731

Li Yue later establishes the Eternal Divine Court and expands it through Divine Court missions, shared resources, Divine Court Dao Foundations, and system-wide buffs. 391 592 685

As the thirteenth Divine Path Leader, Li Yue establishes the Hall of All Gods to unite scattered Divine Path factions against the First Dimension. More than four thousand Taboo Deities gather under his authority. 1375

The Hall of All Gods subsequently begins creating the Divine Path Dimension, a Super Ninefold Fusion Dimension meant to serve as a shared foundation for Divine Path organizations. 1376 1410

Its establishment is confirmed after six Ninefold Fusion Dimensions are merged. Smaller factions migrate there, and their Taboo Deities join the Hall of All Gods. An enormous spatial gate links the Divine Path Dimension to the Dimension of Myriad Daos, allowing beings at Heavenly Venerable level or above to travel between them. 1407 1410

Divine Court infrastructure also supports military reclamation. Li Yue declares the God-Fallen Heavenly Road, a world formed from fallen deities and their laws, to be Divine Path territory and launches a mission to recover it for the Eternal Divine Court. The mission rewards participation, territorial recovery, and victory over enemies. 294 592

The Divine Court Life Stone reveals that earlier courts’ inability to produce a Chaos Great Emperor resulted from gaps in the Divine Path rather than an absolute lack of talent. Integrating it repairs part of the Path, strengthens the entire court, and creates a means to exceed the former Principal First Rank limit. 648

Li Yue later obtains a Dimension-level Divine Court Expansion Talisman capable of turning ten billion highly intelligent members of a sufficiently advanced Human Race civilization into deities directly subordinate to the Eternal Divine Court. He connects its selection conditions with the possible criteria used by the hidden Mastermind. 1328

Divine Path Merit and the Dark Age

The opening of the Divine Path Merit Shop gives Li Yue a means to convert conflict with the First Dimension into resources for the Divine Path. Its inventory includes Taboo-grade Blessing Talismans, Dimension-level treasures, and enormously expensive Transcendence-grade supreme treasures. 1319

• A Taboo-grade Blessing Talisman costs five hundred Divine Path Merit, equivalent to the merit from killing five Elementary Creation-grade Taboo Lives. 1319
• Li Yue receives one-tenth of the merit earned by Eternity Organization members and one percent of the merit earned by other Taboo Deities. His own earnings as Divine Path Leader are calculated at one hundred and twenty percent. 1319

Establishment in the Heavenly Realm

In the Willing Blue Great World, Li Yue replaces the existing divine order with his own Divine Path. He creates Sky Divine City from the remnants of the gods’ Divine Kingdoms and declares that devout believers who ascend there can become demigods. 1553

Over ten years, the Al Saint Kingdom conquers the other nations and becomes the Eternal Divine Kingdom. Li Yue appoints Anji as Zhu Gui, the Observing Star Lord, the first god of the new age, and appoints eight additional Star Lords. All nine receive Sub-Saint-level power. 1553

The Heavenly Realm campaign culminates in the defeat of the Western Cosmos Race and the establishment of Divine Path laws throughout the universe. The mission interface explicitly recognizes the Divine Path as that heaven and earth’s dominant cultivation system. 1559

Origin Sea and the Return of the Twelve Leaders

While cultivating near the mysterious stone grotto, Li Yue encounters a remnant thought identifying itself as Unawakened, one of the three Ancient Gods of the Divine Path. It claims that the grotto leads to the Divine Path Origin Sea, the source of the Divine Path in High Heaven, and warns that beings below Transcendence will be assimilated upon entry. Li Yue judges these claims only sixty to seventy percent trustworthy. 1510

Three hundred years of cultivation outside the grotto provide Li Yue with as much Divine Path rule power as thirty million years of ordinary cultivation, allowing him to fill his divine body and Divine Domain for his next advancement. He declines to cultivate the final layer of Zhi’s inheritance until its alleged dangers are understood. 1511

During Li Yue’s High Dao-Wielding advancement, the Three Thousand Dimensions’ Divine Path rules are nearly exhausted. Their replenishment from the grotto supports his conclusion that the Origin Sea lies within it. 1577

Beyond the Three Thousand Dimensions, the twelve earlier Divine Path Leaders return from the Origin Sea to a confined realm containing Mirror Lake and the ancient divine temple with thirteen thrones. Yun Qiannian proposes using the force of Li Yue’s advancement to break their cage and restore the Divine Path to High Heaven. Xing Mo, Shen Meng, Luo Wanfa, and Monster Future are among the leaders sharing this resolve. Their return complicates earlier accounts of their deaths or surviving remains. 1577

This deficiency was subsequently addressed through the development of the Netherworld Heaven and Earth and Li Youming’s appointment as Netherworld Heavenly Son. 692 696 698
• Past leaders, including Yun Qiannian and Yan Xiao, reached the Dimension Divine Rank. Their surviving statements suggest that the Path may have been “cut short” or blocked by the dimensions. Unawakened’s testimony concerning an Origin Sea in High Heaven, and the twelve leaders’ later intention to restore the Path there, introduce evidence of a broader history without resolving when or why its public records disappeared. 1407 1510 1577
