Background

The current Age of Deities includes transmigrants who were directly made into gods by an entity known as the Mastermind. Deities from numerous dimensions describe the same origin: being brought to another world and transformed into gods. 1 987

Deities have appeared in multiple historical eras. At least nine Divine Courts existed before the current era, while the First and Second Deity Eras are separately recorded as having received distinct boons from their Divine Court names. 279 310

In ancient times, the Immortal Path ruled heaven and earth until deities appeared and fought against it, breaking its monopoly and contributing concepts that later developed into many cultivation paths. Immortal Path factions therefore regard deities as enemies to be enslaved or killed. 291

The Divine Path is closely tied to humanity. Its stated purpose is to protect the Human Path, and powerful deities regard humanity and the Divine Path as inseparable. 279 631

The emergence of deities is associated with the simultaneous rise of numerous cultivation paths and races. By breaking the Immortal Path's former supremacy, deities helped create the conditions in which the ten thousand paths could flourish. 294

Deities are not necessarily detached from mortal identity. Humans who attain godhood, as well as their descendants and followers, remain central to the development, administration, and military strength of the Divine Path. 279 803

Many first-generation deities originate from modern urban human worlds. Li Yue observes that transmigrated gods often retain their human identity, helping explain the recurring alliance between the Divine Path and humanity. He also notes that surviving deities may become highly calculating after facing prolonged danger and deception; this is an observation about their circumstances rather than a defining supernatural trait. 454 1265

The Divine Path’s history extends well beyond a single universe or dimension. The Peak Divine Path Grand Assembly had produced 920 Divine Path protagonists by the time Li Yue attained Eight Rites God Emperor, while a later cross-dimensional gathering assembled one hundred exceptionally talented deities from different dimensions. Their shared transmigration history suggests a common organizer, but the Mastermind’s identity remains unconfirmed. 957 987

Some later enemies originated from developments associated with the Divine Path itself. The Origin Divine Court spread the Qi Refiner path, whose eventual pinnacle gave rise to the Dao Clan; the Earth Clan and Buddha Clan also have origins connected to deities. These historical connections did not prevent them from becoming hostile to the Divine Path. 491

Successive Divine Path Leaders rose to extraordinary power and suppressed rival cultivation paths. After those leaders fell, enemies unable to oppose them directly often redirected their accumulated hatred toward other deities, contributing to the Divine Path’s many inherited conflicts. 1399

The ultimate origin of the Divine Path remains mysterious. During his super-grade Taboo advancement, Li Yue detects a force within his Divine Domain’s life-and-death stars that surpasses the Life and Death Origin Great Daos. He speculates about connections to Ancient Emperor Lord Zhi, the Fourth Transcendence Realm, or an even higher existence, without establishing any of these possibilities as fact. 1443

Li Yue later emerges as the final victor of the Three-versus-Three War. An Ancient Emperor Lord above the clouds expresses surprise that a deity won the contest among the nine worldlike heavens and earths created by Zhi, further emphasizing the Divine Path’s unusual place in that larger design. 1575

Nature and Sustenance

A deity’s growth depends on Divine Power, which is condensed from the Incense Wish Power of believers at a rate of 1,000 Incense for one unit of Divine Power. Divine Power fuels promotion, divine arts, and the nurturing of Deity Artifacts. 1 164

At higher levels, Divine Power may be accumulated and measured in Deity Pools and later River God Power, the latter being required for advanced divine techniques and high-rank promotion. 293 714

A full Deity Pool contains 100 million units of Divine Power. At Principal Seventh Rank, Li Yue’s first pool also refines substances drawn from the void into approximately 10,000 units of Divine Power per day, providing a supplementary source beyond believers’ incense. One River of Divine Power is condensed from 100 million Deity Pools. 200 531

At still higher levels, reserves and expenditure are measured in World Divine Power. Divine Courts and believer-governed states remain major sources of this power: the Great Zhen Imperial Court and Eternal Divine Court supply the immense reserves needed for Li Yue’s Taboo and Dao-Wielding advancements. 1381 1485

During each of the two annual Grand Sacrifices, a deity may collect one offering from the faithful. The Divine Path enhances that offering by twenty percent, while the ceremony also permits the collection of ten days’ worth of Incense Wish Power at once. 1

Only an offering acquired through the faithful's own efforts, without direct karma from a deity, can receive the amplification granted by the Divine Path's laws. A deity may accept additional offerings, but only one offering per Grand Sacrifice receives amplification. 1 152

Certain exceptional deities possess talents that surpass the ordinary twenty-percent enhancement. Li Yue's Hundredfold Amplification later evolved through Endless Amplification and Infinite Amplification, reaching three thousandfold and eventually more than seven millionfold amplification for Grand Sacrifice offerings. 288 785 1462

Divine Power can also be obtained through trade, the sale of treasures or non-human enemy remains, jurisdictional resources, and system rewards. These additional sources become important because high-rank advancement can require decades of ordinary income even for a wealthy deity. Li Yue sells an amplified Grand Sacrifice weapon for 3,530 Deity Pools while preparing to advance beyond Principal Fifth Rank. 31 167 242 393

Divine Rank, Dao comprehension, and combat strength are related but distinct. Exceptional techniques and artifacts can raise combat power far above the ordinary standard of a rank, but a deity’s divine body must withstand that power. Li Yue learns that allowing his Dao to advance too far beyond his Divine Rank can create serious foundational problems. 248 1362 1363 1381

High-Rank Advancement Requirements

Higher Divine Ranks require more than accumulated Divine Power. Conditions may include specific follower populations, time spent at the current rank, rare materials from dangerous realms, and acts performed under the Divine Path’s rules. 531 1381 1466 1511

The materials for Super-grade Taboo advancement can be exceptionally time-consuming to obtain. Records consulted by Li Yue describe fifteen cosmic epochs as the fastest known collection time for the necessary materials from the Lands of Extinction and Ultimate Life. The Death Origin Realm also has native-identity restrictions that prevent ordinary outsiders from participating in its opportunities. 1381 1382

The Dimension Divine Rank is regarded as the endpoint of the established Divine Ranks. Li Yue treats advancement within the associated “two” level as extremely difficult and considers progress beyond the established limit something that must be developed individually, rather than assuming an already known higher rank. 1381 1466

Appearance

Deities are commonly associated with golden divine radiance, overwhelming Divine Might, and forms that inspire reverence or fear. A manifested deity may tower over the world with indistinct features and clear, majestic eyes. 151 212

Divine Arts

Deities wield divine arts by expending Divine Power. Even an entry-level Wild God can possess arts such as Dream Projection Art, Golden Blade Art, Confer Ghost Soldier, and Confer Temple Keeper. 1

• Golden Blade Art can be cast freely, provided the deity has Divine Power. 1

Divine Domain and Jurisdiction

A deity operates from a Divine Domain and holds authority over a Jurisdiction. The scope of this territory determines where the deity can most directly exercise its power. 12 207

• A Jurisdiction may expand by incorporating additional settlements. 12
• The aura of the Divine Path can be sensed from thousands of miles away and may reveal the extent of a deity’s territory. 207
• A Deity Mark permits a deity to leave its Jurisdiction once without any reduction in power. 134

Not all cultivation factions oppose deities. The Ancient Clan remains neutral because one of its Great Emperors had a close friendship with the lord of the Immeasurable Divine Court. Conversely, the All-Dharma Dao Palace withdraws a recruitment offer as soon as Li Yue identifies himself as a Divine Path deity, showing that hostility or avoidance also exists beyond his original universe. 430 621

Religious labels in other worlds do not always establish membership in the same Divine Path system. In the Willing Blue Great World, Gu Qiu calls himself an Orthodox God and denounces the Council of Gods as Evil Gods, while the natives use the opposite labels. The Merck Race observes early-stage gods in that world in an attempt to create gods of its own. 1550 1553

Divine Courts and God Wars

A Divine Court is an organized power formed by deities. Its strength depends on its gods, their divine ranks, and their capacity to cultivate believers and Subordinate Gods. 310 562

The Eternal Divine Court demonstrates that a Divine Court may grant its members an exclusive advancement benefit: its Eternal Buff provides a recurring portion of the Divine Power required for promotion. 472

The Eternal Buff also includes Law and God-Devil benefits. Ordinary deities receive one two-hundredth of the Divine Power needed for promotion each month, while high-ranking deities and the Divine Court Lord receive greater shares. 471

A Divine Court can establish a formal hierarchy of high-ranking gods, including Five Great Emperors, Twelve Divine Monarchs, Thirty-Six Heavenly Officials, and Seventy-Two Star Lords. These offices may grant increased Incense Wish Power, reward multipliers, and access to a Divine Court Treasury. 472

The Eternal Divine Court later developed large-scale support systems, including promotion lotteries, rewards for gods who exceed their Divine Rank’s expected combat power, and the distribution of Divine Power or high-grade Blessing Talismans. 476 560 651

Mutual assistance is treated as a means of strengthening the entire Divine Court. Li Yue’s one-on-one support quest rewards him for helping a Subordinate Eighth Rank deity advance, while he recognizes that stronger gods can better nurture Divine Court treasures and contribute to collective warfare. 330

The risks remain severe despite these support systems. More than 113 million Eternal Divine Court deities die within one year, including casualties from older-era deities and attacks that destroy Divine Domains. This demonstrates that organizational membership does not by itself guarantee survival. 477

Divine Courts can undertake system-recognized collective missions. Li Yue’s declaration that the God-Fallen Heavenly Road belongs to the Divine Path triggers a reclamation mission with rewards scaled by regional order, enemy kills, and complete recovery. Over nine billion deities enter the battlefield during the campaign, supported by an Immeasurable Buff that greatly improves their effectiveness and prevents death in that operation. These campaign-specific protections do not negate the ordinary dangers of divine warfare. 592 594 600

Divine events can also emphasize humanity’s restoration rather than direct competition between individual gods. In the Ten Divine Courts Conflict, each court enters an identical special Primordial Universe instance and is tasked with helping the Human Race become its dominant people, while also earning points by defeating powerful enemies. 798 800 803

Cross-dimensional organizations extend the Divine Path’s structure beyond individual courts. Li Yue becomes leader of the Eternity Organization after claiming the Supreme God Throne; its benefits include dimensional travel and trade, comprehension of other members’ Daos, projections, and rewards based on Divine Seat level. 991 993

The Divine Path Alliance, descended from Yan Xiao’s Origin Fate Organization, contains 315 Taboo Deities when Li Yue takes command: eight Half-step Dimension-level beings, sixty-two Dao-wielding Grade beings, and the remainder Creation-grade. He grants inheritances after they accept permanent Seal of Dao Origin bonds, which allow him to locate them and let them borrow part of his power. The Alliance then relocates to the Dimension of Myriad Daos. 1321 1322 1323

Other major Divine Path powers include the Divine Domain Organization, Way-Seeking Organization, and Ancient God Court, alongside smaller factions such as Hidden Dragon Divine Mountain and the Existence-Nonexistence Divine Court. Many conceal their headquarters because of the Divine Path’s numerous enemies. 1324

The Hall of All Gods represents a later effort to unify the Divine Path’s major factions. Under Li Yue’s leadership, multiple Divine Path organizations submitted Ninefold Fusion Dimensions to establish the Divine Path Dimension, a Super Ninefold Fusion Dimension intended to serve as a collective foundation for the Divine Path. 1376

Its establishment follows the gathering of more than four thousand Taboo Deities and the revelation that a Top-tier Dimension-level enemy from the First Dimension has submitted to Li Yue. Participating factions gain protection and access to a merit-based cultivation system, with three Half-step Transcendence-grade treasures and eighteen inheritances promised for the new dimension. 1375 1376

The Divine Path Dimension later becomes densely filled with Divine Path Law and Spiritual Objects. A large spatial gate links it to the Dimension of Myriad Daos, permitting travel by beings at Heavenly Venerable level or above. Smaller Divine Path factions migrate there, and their Taboo Deities join the Hall of All Gods, producing an unprecedented degree of unity. 1410

The Divine Path Heavenly Realm provides a further mission-based setting associated with high-rank development. In its hell-difficulty version, Li Yue is tasked with destroying the gods and Evil Gods of the Willing Blue Great World, establishing Divine Path Rule, and taking Luo Fuya as Temple Keeper. After completing this mission, creating Sky Divine City, and founding a new divine order, he receives an Origin Great Dao Fusion Divine Talisman and a second mission to destroy the Merck Race and uncover its origin. 1511 1550 1553

God War is a major conflict mechanism between deities. Victory can yield believers, Divine Power, Blessing Talismans, and Divine Law Fragments, but the conflict is dangerous enough to threaten a deity’s continued existence. 9

• God War unlocks after a deity reaches Subordinate Ninth Rank and has been a deity for more than one year. Its initial activation cost is 100 units of Divine Power, increasing at higher ranks. 9
• An actively initiated God War forcibly matches the challenger with a deity of no lower Divine Rank. 9
• A conventional God War consists of a Believer War, Subordinate God War, and Deity War. 9
• Losing the Believer War reduces the deity’s strength by thirty percent, while losing the Subordinate God War imposes a further twenty-percent reduction. 9
