Jor-El's Fear
The night sky in Smallville is unimaginably vast, almost breathtakingly close to your head, empty and pristine, with countless stars twinkling and a bright moon.
Inside the wooden cabin, soft lights shone, and the sounds of laughter could be heard.
Under the eaves, Krypto sat on a wooden plank, its forelegs propped up. The bright moonlight gently shone on its snow-white fur. It resembled a wolf but was a dog.
A cool breeze blew by, and the farm made soft rustling sounds in the darkness, creating a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere under the night sky.
Every now and then, it opens its mouth and sticks out its tongue to cool down. Dogs don't have sweat glands, so they need to stick out their tongues frequently to cool down.
But I always remember that I am not an ordinary dog, nor am I a dog, and I always subconsciously exhibit dog-like instinctive reactions.
It closed its mouth again, its face solemn as it looked up at the moon.
Suddenly, I felt an urge to howl at the moon.
But I am a dog, not a wolf.
He suppressed this restless, primal physical reaction.
It is Jor-El, though not entirely.
Its eyes, now possessing Telescopic Vision and Penetrating Sight, traversed fields of standing corn stalks, passed not far away, and gradually settled in the town at night, where the soft lights shone. It then seemed to travel through a time tunnel once more, discarding the scenery that caught its eye, and focusing its gaze to explore a location sixteen kilometers outside the town.
It was completely empty.
It was originally where it placed Kryptonite.
It's completely empty now.
It watched as Mike took the Kryptonite, using Mike Penetrating Sight and far -Kansas Kryptonite Kryptonite to who knows where.
He couldn't follow; he needed to stay by his son's side.
It was truly afraid that if it left its son, Ba Di would appear, take its son away, extract the Codex of Life, and harm its life.
After all, Ba Di came to Earth far too early, several years earlier than himself. This was enough time for Ba Di to develop a vast and powerful force. On this primitive planet, he should have thrived and become a ruler, a god.
Its head turned, its eyes Penetrating Sight, its vision wide open, and it looked around.
All I saw were Kansas grasslands and farm crops; nothing I wanted to see.
It breathed a sigh of relief, then a heavy pressure rose again, and gloom enveloped its heart.
The fact that it didn't appear doesn't necessarily mean it's a good thing.
It is familiar with Ba Di.
And, they feared Ba Di.
I'm reminded of Ba Di.
Its breathing slowed slightly, and its pupils held a lingering worry, anxiety, and fear.
According to Krypton's genetic sequence, Ba Di is just a low-level ordinary warrior with the most basic genes. His talents are entirely those of a low-level warrior, and it's also a flawed genetic sequence.
Genetically speaking, Ba Di's achievements in this lifetime would only be limited to the rank of Private First Class.
But with Ba Di, there seems to be a miracle, a situation that has never occurred in Krypton before.
On Krypton, he was the first to break through the limitations of genes and achieve a miracle by overcoming talent through hard work. This was simply impossible on Krypton, where genetics determines future achievements.
He is a living miracle of Krypton in the modern Krypton, breaking through the limitations of genes.
Starting as an ordinary soldier with the lowest and most defective genes, he rose through the ranks from soldier to private, sergeant, lieutenant, second lieutenant, first lieutenant, lieutenant colonel, colonel, and finally launched a military coup to become a general.
The journey has been dazzling, an unprecedented miracle.
He embodied the hope and light of the entire Krypton Krypton, driving the lower classes to near madness and inspiring their utmost devotion to him.
Genes did not make him who he was; what made him who he was was his own hard work, his indomitable will, his efforts that never considered genes as a talent, and his crazy attempts to break through genetic barriers.
It was as if he had experienced the madness of despair, and the effort he put in was self-harm, self-abuse, self-torture. After being trapped in pain and despair, he climbed out of the abyss, raised his fist, and broke the genetic destiny.
This caused a tremendous impact on Krypton society at the time, and the entire stagnant lower class of Krypton society followed in his footsteps, bursting forth with unprecedented enthusiasm.
It was as if Ba Di was a kind of faith, a kind of longing, a kind of light, guiding them forward.
Genes don't determine the future! Talent doesn't prove everything! This man, with a mad will, has destroyed Krypton's long-standing genetic science! This is not scientific!
This is completely unscientific!
At the time, Jor-El, like other scientists who were testing the Ba Di gene, exclaimed in surprise.
This is truly unbelievable.
However, subsequent tests revealed no problems whatsoever; it was still that inferior, defective gene.
Some of them even believe that this defective gene is not actually a defect, but a superior gene that they have not yet discovered, a comprehensive gene with great talent.
However, all the experiments and trials were successfully conducted.
Apart from the miracle that happened to Ba Di, nothing else changed at all.
This completely terrified and chilled Jor-El.
This man completely distorted and influenced himself according to his own will.
Especially during the military coup of Ba Di, when Jor-El confronted him, he realized that Ba Di was even more terrifying than him, transcending the limitations of his genes. Instantly, Krypton was engulfed in war, with countless lower classes regarding him as their faith, charging into traps for him, and trying to break down Krypton's long-standing and highly rigid social hierarchy.
In many battles, they were at a disadvantage.
It's hard to believe that their side, with its cutting-edge technology and a large number of generals, staff officers, and commanders like General Zod, was being controlled by Ba Di alone, making their war extremely difficult and completely overwhelming them.
If he hadn't managed to extract some information about Ba Di from Haier at the last minute, deducing that Ba Di had a high probability of seizing the Codex of Life, and hadn't cooperated with General Zod to ambush him near the Codex of Life, it's hard to imagine that Krypton would become a planet ruled by Ba Di in the future.
Of course, the real Codex of Life has been taken by Jor-El, but that's precisely why the fake one can't be discovered.
Once discovered, Ba Di could use this to launch an even bigger revolution, and Krypton would be completely finished.
This chilled Jor-El to the bone.
At the time, they were somewhat lucky. The most elite general and the most elite warriors on Krypton, more than fifty people, came to besiege Ba Di, but he still managed to kill more than thirty of them by himself.
It wouldn't be an exaggeration to describe it as a dead end, surrounded by enemies on all sides.
With no other option, Ba Di boarded the escape pod.
Haier begged Jor-El to spare Ba Di's life.
Jor-El ignored him and set up an ambush that allowed Ba Di to hold his funeral in the starry sky, becoming a dazzling display of fireworks.
However, it is clear that what Ba Di did not reveal was that his scientific achievements were no less than those of ordinary genius scientists. Therefore, he delayed the bomb's detonation procedure on the spaceship.
Knowing that the spaceship hadn't exploded in space, Jor-El was utterly horrified.
He hadn't expected that even so, Ba Di would still be able to survive.
Jor-El could almost imagine the bloodshed that would ensue wherever Ba Di was in the future.
He and Ba Di are irreconcilably opposed, and there is no intention whatsoever of them sitting down to negotiate.
It's a fight Ba Di and the El Family —either you die or I perish.
Therefore, Jor-El made preparations before he arrived.
