The Aftermath 2
The birth of the baby seemed to give Li Wei an even greater sense of responsibility. Raven, in Raven ethereal form, stood beside him and saw the hope for the future shining in his eyes. He gently picked up the baby, his face full of love, and tenderly stroked the wrinkled baby who looked like a monkey.
Raven watched him from the side, her heart filled with complex emotions.
The entire space was filled with joy and happiness.
As Li Wei said when he got married, his future is getting better and better.
If we were to say that the weather suddenly changed one day, becoming gloomy with dark clouds overhead...
That means counting from the baby's tenth month.
This is a premature baby, but he is exceptionally healthy.
One morning when the baby was ten months old, Li Wei's baby suddenly had a nosebleed that wouldn't stop. They went to the hospital, where his wife yelled at him, "How can you take care of a child like that? You're useless! I won't let you get away with anything that might harm my child, Li Wei! You good-for-nothing!"
Li Wei held his breath, his face grim, and remained silent.
I'm also involved with the child, and I'm worried too.
He was a smart man, at least smarter than the average person, but he loved his wife even more. He only saw his wife in the small details, and many things revolved around her.
Only after the blood test came back normal did the wife's expression soften. However, she held the baby tightly, refusing to let Li Wei touch him or even look at him. The wife would glare at him fiercely.
Li Wei simply considered it his own fault.
Raven watched all this in silence, now following behind Li Wei like Spectre as they walked out of the hospital.
The sky was overcast, indicating that it was likely that the weather at the time was similar, with the potential for a thunderstorm.
After driving home, Li Wei asked several times to hold and touch the baby, but his wife coldly told him to get out.
His wife's attitude towards him was truly awful.
Those who are favored become fearless.
Raven saw it all clearly from the sidelines. Li Wei's devotion and love were so great that he couldn't find anyone else who loved his wife more. However, this only exacerbated his wife's terrible behavior, her contempt for Li Wei, and her constant sarcasm.
There was no gratitude, no reward.
A bolt of lightning crackled across the sky, tearing the heavens apart.
The clouds appeared even heavier and darker.
Li Wei froze, staring blankly and panicked at the blood test report.
Why would a couple with blood type A have a child with blood type B?
Why is there a B?
Could it be?! Li Wei's eyes flashed—the baby had been switched! The hospital must have made a mistake.
"So that's how it is. The hospital is so irresponsible."
Li Wei put down the report, which he was clutching so tightly that it was twisted and dented from his grip.
There is a fact that we are unwilling to believe.
Because once you believe, you will lose everything.
The place where the soul finds its home, where everything, everyone, and everything has been achieved through one's desperate efforts.
Raven stared at Li Wei. She was certain that this was Ba Di's pain, the pain of despair, the pain of losing everything.
That night, Li Wei and his wife slept in separate rooms.
However, the next day, something even more suffocating than the Raven had imagined happened.
When Li Wei returned home, his wife had already packed her suitcase and was holding their child. Standing beside her was a handsome man with a refined, handmade suit, whose every word and action exuded the calm and composure of an upper-class person. There was also a burly and tall bodyguard with bulging muscles who intimidated people.
The two were smiling and playing with the child, clearly not expecting Li Wei to come home early.
When his wife saw Li Wei, her expression changed drastically. After a moment of silence, she said sadly, "Li Wei, you already know, so I won't hide it from you anymore."
"The child isn't yours. Thank you for taking care of me; I'll always remember it," his wife said sadly, then looked at the child's real father with a hopeful and happy smile.
Turning to face Li Wei, she looked dejected and sorrowful, a sight that puzzled Raven. Why was she acting this way? Li Wei was stunned, standing there blankly, his mind a complete blank.
Even as they passed by him, Li Wei didn't react. Finally, when his wife smelled a familiar scent of perfume, he turned around, grabbed her arm, and almost made her stumble.
"Li Wei ...you!" Ying Ying glared angrily at Li Wei.
"I have money."
"I can build a fortune of five million from scratch within six months. I can buy you any LV, Chanel, or Dior brand, take you around the world, and you will own my world, everything."
"If that's not enough, I have the ability to use all my talents for you. In three years, I can have 50 million, and in five years, I can have 100 million."
"I am certain that I can do anything for you."
Li Wei said, his eyes filled with a longing, a longing to keep her. His fingers held Ying Ying's arm, not too tightly, afraid of hurting her.
Ying Ying's breath hitched for a moment; only now did she seem to see all of Li Wei's love.
She pulled her arm out of Li Wei's fingers and hugged her son tighter.
"Li Wei, if you truly love me, then bless me, let me have a better life, let my son enjoy a better education, and live a happier life." After saying this, she turned and left.
Li Wei's hands fell limply, and he had no strength left in his body.
The man beside Ying Ying did not go down with her, but looked at Li Wei with a mocking smile.
"Fifty million, one hundred million? Is that the proposal for the specialty fruit and vegetable supermarket project? I'm sorry, that proposal was stolen from the Zhou Corporation. The lawyer's letter will be sent to you in two days."
"Ying Ying has really helped me a lot. Not only did she give birth to a son, but she also brought me a project. Thank you!"
"You're a genius!"
The man flicked his sleeves, smiled faintly, and walked away with a mocking smile.
They took everything from Li Wei.
Raven looked at Ba Di with a sour feeling in his heart.
He stood there like a corpse for three hours.
She watched him take several strong liquors and chug them down on the rooftop.
Dark clouds gathered, flashing with lightning.
With a "whoosh," the torrential rain lashed wildly against his face.
The Raven saw his eyes contorted in a rage, as if they were bulging out, as he roared in agony and pounded his fist on the ground, which was covered in shards of glass, his tears mingling with the rain.
The Raven saw him kneeling on the ground, his clothes clinging tightly to his body from the cold rain, looking lonely, weak, and in unbearable pain.
This is already Ba Di.
A sharp pain shot through the Raven's heart. With her ethereal form, she embraced him, feeling his agony.
suddenly.
Suddenly, the Raven sensed a change in the weather; thunder roared, and the rain poured down even more violently.
Ba Di stretched out his arms to the sky, raised his body, and roared ferociously. His body, soaked by the cold rain, was contorted with rage, and his eyes were icy cold.
"No one can take anything away!"
Rain lashed down, mingling with the raging thunder. He roared to the sky, his voice ripped apart, revealing a hideous and terrifying face.
the next day.
He put on the suit he wore at his wedding, shaved his unkempt beard that had grown all night, and used the face wash that Ying Ying had bought for him, even though it was just a free gift from her many expensive cosmetics.
In the mirror, a smile as bright as sunshine appeared, a smile the Raven had once seen.
Just like his smile at his wedding.
Raven felt a chill run through him as he watched Ba Di leave with a genuine leather tote bag.
He arrived at a familiar knife shop.
He knows the boss, and the boss knows him.
"Boss Zhang, give me a sharp Watermelon Knife."
"Watermelon Knife?"
"Yeah, we're cutting watermelons!"
