Background / History

Central City contains more than 300 people named Barry Allen, many of whom have lost their mothers. Ba Di investigates them because Barry, Hal Jordan, Victor Stone, and Bruce Wayne appear linked by their potential connection to the Justice League 173.

Barry spends years fleeing Ba Miu Luo Di’s forces with Bruce Wayne. Bruce attempts twice to recreate the conditions needed to make him the Flash through controlled electricity and chemical compounds; both attempts fail and leave Barry badly burned and near death 205 206. On a forest hill, Bruce prepares a final attempt using a lightning rod and natural lightning. Barry receives the Speed Force while trying to save Bruce from Constantine, surviving a colossal strike that seemingly reduces him to a charred corpse 208.

His first major battle follows immediately. Enraged by Bruce’s injuries and years of persecution, Barry overwhelms Constantine’s magical defenses, then rescues the badly wounded Bruce 209.
