On a small mountain in the outer region of the Magical Beast Mountain Range, close to its inner reaches, Bolan stopped after flying here from Fenlai half a month ago.
"About seven percent," Bolan muttered.
Bolan's Destruction Rules had finally overtaken the others on a curve. He only needed another three percent to become a god. Though it seemed like only a small gap remained, that tiny gap had held back countless powerful experts throughout history. The current peak Saint-level experts—Desri, Fain, Rutherford, Tulirei, Luolisha, and Cesar, though no one knew whether he had become a god—were all true geniuses. Even Bolan as he was now did not dare claim to be stronger than them.
Yet even the youngest among them was over five thousand years old. Each one's life was as long as the history of the Baruch Clan. Tulirei, in particular, had been a peak Saint-level expert thousands of years ago and was also a genius who cultivated the Destruction Rule. But even they had been firmly trapped at the boundary between Saint-level and God-level for at least five thousand years.
By now, they had completely lost confidence in themselves. All of them had placed their hopes within the Necropolis of the Gods, praying that they might luckily obtain a Godhead and become God-level, like the War God had back then, revered and worshipped by countless people. Just as Beirut had said in the original story, those people had long since cultivated their Laws to completion. All they lacked to become gods was an opportunity. They might become gods on the spot, or they might remain stuck at that bottleneck for countless ages without advancing another step.
But Bolan was not discouraged in the slightest. He was not even eighteen yet, and he was confident that he could become a god before the Necropolis of the Gods opened several decades from now.
"My Death Law has also reached just under four percent. On the other hand, the fusion of the 'Fast' and 'Slow' Mysteries in the Wind Elemental Laws I've been cultivating has become increasingly swift. I can already almost sense the bottleneck of the Saint-level limit," Bolan said confidently.
Within twenty years, his wind element would definitely become divine. That was the advantage of fusing Laws from the very beginning of cultivation: once one had entered the door, becoming a god was merely a natural progression. The true threshold was the complete fusion of two Mysteries to become a Middle God. Talking about Middle Gods now seemed a little too far off.
Moreover, after this great battle, Bolan's body had directly transformed to the Saint-level. This meant that Bolan had become a truly qualified Dragonblood Warrior.
Bolan could now be considered a genuine peak Saint-level expert, no weaker than Desri and the others. In terms of attack, he was probably even stronger. His terrifying physical body was likely more powerful than that of magical beasts at the same level. And with the inherited azure light talent, ordinary Soul Attacks probably could not shake Bolan in the slightest.
Bolan's cultivation now only needed to proceed step by step. It was time to visit his little brother, Linley. Judging by the current timeline, Linley should still be in the Magical Beast Mountain Range. With that thought, Bolan shot into the sky.
Bolan began searching from the air along the route from the Ernst Institute toward the Magical Beast Mountain Range, as described in the original story. The aura of a powerful expert emanating from him made the high-level magical beasts he encountered turn and flee immediately. He occasionally came across Saint-level magical beasts as well, but none of them were stupid enough to deliberately provoke a human expert who clearly looked powerful.
One day, while flying through the sky, Bolan spotted a valley shrouded in dense fog below. It looked very much like the Mist Valley recorded in the original story. Bolan immediately perked up, because the Magical Beast Mountain Range had yet to welcome its master, the divine beast Dilin.
That meant Linley had not entered this valley for the second time yet, and the Level 9 Spine-backed Iron-armored Dragon inside was still alive. Bolan's own Spine-backed Iron-armored Dragon had complained in his ear countless times that there were too few of his kind, that he wanted a wife, and so on.
It was annoying as hell. He might as well go down and see whether that Spine-backed Iron-armored Dragon was female. If she was, he would bring her back for his magical beast pet, Leibulus. If it was male, then he would let them hook up on the spot. Bolan smiled wickedly.
"Peh." He meant they could become brothers. Either way, he had to bring a companion back for him, so that he would stop circling around Bolan all day and annoying him.
Just then, a tremor suddenly came from below. Powerful experts were fighting down there. Bolan, who had been leisurely flying along, abruptly accelerated. He suddenly remembered that in the original story, Linley had been watching from nearby when the Level 9 Spine-backed Iron-armored Dragon fought the newly Saint-level Purple-striped Black Bear.
"If Linley gets hurt, I'll never forgive you," Bolan coldly shouted as he accelerated, his face so icy it seemed ready to drip water.
