As the two Laws of the Universe descended, every expert on the continent took notice. In the O'Brien Empire on the far side of the continent, within a magma-filled space deep inside War God Mountain, the War God O'Brien's eyes flashed with a complicated light. He had been on equal footing with High Priest Catherine for over five thousand years, yet this time, she had finally surpassed him completely. He closed his eyes and continued immersing himself in cultivation—useless, yet something he had no choice but to do. As for Bolan beside the High Priest, O'Brien simply ignored him. (I can't beat you, but am I not even allowed to be upset about it?!)
In a large courtyard filled with lovely women, a languid middle-aged man laughed happily. Yet if anyone had listened closely, they would have heard his indistinct muttering: "Freak... what a complete freak... Are people like us supposed to keep living?"
Far away in the Magical Beast Mountain Range, Dilin sensed the auras of two Middle Gods appearing at once, along with the disappearance of two familiar Low God auras. His pupils contracted, and he secretly felt fortunate. Luckily, he had not gone looking for trouble when that man broke through back then.
Within the Dark Forest, Beirut was still lecturing several of his sons when his expression suddenly shifted. He looked toward the small courtyard where Bolan and the High Priest were. "Sigh, such excellent talent. What a pity. Why couldn't it have been earth, water, or fire..."
At the center of everyone's attention, Bolan and the High Priest finally received the descent of the Laws of the Universe. Bolan's blackish-gray Godhead and the High Priest's green Godhead emerged from above their heads and hovered there. Vast amounts of Destruction Divine Power and Life Divine Power continuously swirled around their Godheads. Under the control of the Laws of the Universe, both Godheads slowly began to transform. This was the transformation from Low God to Middle God...
After a long while, the two types of divine power controlled by the Laws of the Universe dispersed. The two Godheads, each radiating a different light, clearly gave off a far stronger aura than before. The two transformed Middle God Godheads spun above their heads before sinking back into them.
A moment later, the Laws of the Universe faded away, as though they had never appeared at all.
The two exchanged a glance, then closed their eyes again to experience the difference between being Low Gods and Middle Gods. What a powerful feeling. The divine power in my body has transformed from Low God divine power into Middle God divine power. My soul is also much stronger than when it was first torn apart, and my Divine Domain has become much more powerful as well. I've grown stronger in every aspect. I can now enter the ocean of Destruction Divine Power and reach around twenty-five meters deep. Generally, one only needs to become a Middle God to sense more than twenty meters beneath the surface of the divine power ocean. This breakthrough has completely used up the Mysteries of Destruction I comprehended at the Extreme South Sea over the past few years! Having finished sensing the changes, Bolan opened his eyes with a sigh.
The High Priest, who had likewise finished comprehending her changes, opened her eyes as well. Seeing that their hands were still clasped together, she looked at Bolan with some embarrassment. Never in her life had a man come so close to her.
Yet Bolan seemed not to notice. He still gripped the High Priest's small hand tightly. Under her slightly embarrassed and angry gaze, he looked somewhat sheepish, but continued holding both her hands. Not only did he not let go, he tightened his grip instead.
"Let go already. It would be bad if someone came and saw this," the High Priest said helplessly.
Seeing that she was not angry, Bolan sheepishly withdrew his hand and scratched his head awkwardly.
"Pfft." His boyish gesture immediately made the High Priest laugh.
"High Priest, I..." Bolan anxiously wanted to say something, but the High Priest raised a jade-like finger and gently placed it against his lips.
"Don't call me High Priest. My name is Catherine." Catherine then removed the mask from her face. As it came off, silver hair cascaded down from her head. With her exquisite features and slightly pointed ears, she seemed like an elf who had stepped out of an ancient painting.
Bolan stared in stunned amazement. He had never seen a woman so beautiful, nor one whose temperament drew his attention so completely. Every smile and every frown seemed like the finest masterpiece created by the Supreme God of Life.
Seeing this, Bolan was dumbstruck and somewhat at a loss, scratching his head again.
In truth, when their divine powers fused, High Priest Catherine had already known that the man before her was the one she had been waiting for all along. Thus, she did not blame Bolan for his actions; she was merely embarrassed. If one of her disciples came and saw this, it would not be appropriate after all.
Seeing that Bolan was still acting foolishly, Catherine poured a cup of fragrant tea and handed it to him, hoping to calm him down. But Bolan drained it in one gulp. Catherine found it both exasperating and amusing, and lightly poked his forehead with her finger.
At last, Bolan understood the meaning behind Catherine's words. He looked at the wonderful woman before him with immense delight, then directly lifted her into his arms. It was a feeling he had never experienced even across both his lives—strange, yet deeply reassuring.
Time flew by, and two years later...
Bolan finally left that gentle haven and prepared to head for the Extreme South Sea. Both of his bodies would devote themselves fully to comprehending the Destruction Rule, striving to reach the High God level before the Necropolis of the Gods opened. After all, once the Necropolis of the Gods opened, all the true experts would emerge. The former peak experts of the continent could only become others' dependents. Even the current Middle God level would not be enough; only by reaching the High God level would he barely have the qualifications to protect himself.
While Bolan continued cultivating bitterly in the South Sea, the situation on the Yulan Continent did not remain unchanged. The Radiant Church, which Bolan had nearly crushed back then, rose again. This time, it established a Holy Island on an island in the Eastern Sea. Meanwhile, Bolan's younger brothers, Linley and Wharton, began to truly make their names across the Yulan Continent.
After separating from Bolan two years earlier, Linley had challenged experts all along his journey. His first target was Mackenzie, the Saint-level patriarch of the Northwest Province. After easily defeating him, Linley continued on to challenge "Warhammer" Leituo, whom Bolan had challenged before. Warhammer had now become a true Saint-level expert as well. When he learned that this young man was the younger brother of the old friend he had made, and that Linley defeated him without even transforming despite Leituo holding nothing back, he felt somewhat disappointed. Still, Leituo happily invited Linley back to his residence for a lavish banquet.
After that, Linley became much like Bolan had been back then. In his first year, he defeated thirteen Saint-level experts. Though none of them were particularly formidable, it still showed how quickly Linley was growing stronger. His progress had not slowed in the slightest just because his elder brother had already become a God-level expert.
Later, Linley discovered that the famous Saint-level experts of the day all seemed rather weak. He eventually learned from a Saint-level expert he had defeated that the true experts were cultivating in secluded places, while those he had challenged were merely ordinary Saint-level experts unable to let go of worldly temptations. Thus, in his second year, he entered the Sunset Mountain Range, intending to carve his way through it alone and conquer the mountain range renowned alongside the Magical Beast Mountain Range.
