Qing Lin lived at the Moti Mercenary Group's base outside Shimo City, where Xiao Ding and Xiao Li treated her kindly. When Queen Medusa arrived, she recognized Qing Lin's Snake-People bloodline and the Triple Jade-Green Snake Flower Pupils within her eyes. Qing Lin followed Medusa to the Tagor Desert because she feared refusing would endanger the mercenary group. 10 11

Medusa declared Qing Lin a member of the Snake-People Tribe and arranged for her to become Xiao Chen's concubine. Qing Lin initially feared that she would be married to an elderly or frightening tribal figure, but felt relieved upon meeting Xiao Chen. During their walk through the tribe, his reassurance that he would protect her gradually eased her anxiety. 11 13

She married Xiao Chen that night.
