Background / History

Queen Medusa rules the Snake-People Tribe from its settlement in the Tagor Desert. When Xiao Chen claimed that taking wives and concubines could increase his power and potentially benefit the tribe, she initially regarded the claim as unbelievable. She nevertheless authorized a trial, warning that she would personally kill him if he had deceived her. 1

After Yue Mei verified that Xiao Chen had risen from a Three-Star Dou Zhe to a Nine-Star Dou Wang overnight, Medusa accepted that his Multi-Child Multi-Blessing fortune was genuine. Seeing its potential to strengthen the tribe, she traveled to the human empire to find suitable concubines for him. 4 5

In Shimo City, Medusa identified Qing Lin's Triple Jade-Green Snake Flower Pupils and brought her back to the tribe. She later declared Qing Lin to be Xiao Chen's concubine and arranged the wedding. 10 13 She also stripped Mo Basi of his position after his defeat by Xiao Chen and promoted Xiao Chen to replace him among the Eight Great Leaders. 11 12
