Background / History

Gu Yue underwent her Martial Soul Awakening at the Spirit Pagoda under Leng Yaozhu. She displayed Innate Full Soul Power and revealed the Elemental Master, an unprecedented multi-element Martial Soul capable of controlling seven elements. Despite the attention this drew, she remained composed and unarrogant. Leng Yaozhu accepted her as a disciple. 1

Unlike ordinary Soul Masters, Gu Yue declined to absorb a Soul Spirit, concealing that she could provide her own soul rings. 4 She lived alongside Qiangu Wuji during their enrollment at Hongshan Academy and later Eastsea Academy, while privately coordinating with Ziji and other Soul Beast forces. 7 42

Gu Yue sought her “other half,” the Golden Dragon King, and discovered its power within Tang Wulin. Viewing its presence in a human as a humiliation, she initially considered killing Tang Wulin to reclaim it, but refrained because she lacked the strength to absorb the power by force. 23 24 32

After Qiangu Wuji sealed Tang Wulin into a card, he gave Gu Yue the card so she could fuse with the Golden Dragon King power. Gu Yue accepted after confronting him about his knowledge of her identity and ultimately trusting his support. 125 138

Later, Gu Yue stated that Soul Beasts sought peace rather than conquest. She pledged not to interfere with human society if Soul Beasts gained freedom, earning Leng Yaozhu's approval. 175

Appearance

Gu Yue is a young girl with a calm, refined presence. Her appearance is often contrasted with Qiangu Wuji's smaller stature, and she eventually grows taller than him for a time. 54
