Background / History

Leng Yaozhu personally oversees the Spirit Pagoda's Martial Soul Awakening ceremony because both her newly accepted disciple, Gu Yue, and her son, Qiangu Wuji, are participating. She is identified as the Spirit Pagoda's vice tower master and the Heavenly Phoenix Douluo. 1

Qiangu Wuji inherits her Heavenly Phoenix Martial Soul during his awakening. His subsequent third Martial Soul and exceptional spiritual power convince Leng Yaozhu that he could one day lead the Spirit Pagoda to greater prominence; she resolves to cultivate him fully as its future master. 1 2 3

Rather than remain at headquarters, Leng Yaozhu relocates to Aolai City with Qiangu Wuji and Gu Yue. She takes a teaching position at Hongshan Academy and lives modestly so her son can receive a normal education, while also giving her subordinates room to develop. 8 10 27

She later personally cripples Yu Jiao's cultivation and turns her over to the Federation after Yu Jiao's connection to Evil Soul Masters is exposed. 85
