Background / History

Qiangu Wuji is the son of Leng Yaozhu and Qiangu Dongfeng, and the designated future master of the Spirit Pagoda. Born with soul power, he displayed unusual intelligence from childhood, writing observations on Soul Masters and presenting them at conferences before his martial soul awakening. He is also a transmigrator who knows of Qiangu Dongfeng's future villainy; much of his drive to become stronger comes from wanting to avoid being destroyed alongside his father’s reputation. 1

At his awakening, Wuji received Innate Full Soul Power and inherited both of his parents’ martial souls: Leng Yaozhu’s Heavenly Phoenix and Qiangu Dongfeng’s Coiling Dragon Staff. He subsequently developed the Abyssal Brain and Heavenly Six Eyes, creating an unprecedented three-martial-soul configuration. 1 2

Leng Yaozhu arranged for his first Soul Spirit to be the hundred-year Evil Eye Tyrant. His extraordinary spiritual power allowed him to absorb it with little difficulty, and its soul ring gave him Spiritual Detection. 4 6

Wuji chose to attend Hongshan Academy in order to encounter Tang Wulin and pursue greater growth. After developing the True Phoenix Bloodline, he entered Eastsea Academy, trained under Mu Ye in mecha-related disciplines, and received a transformation device based on his Emperor Armor concept. 6 16 28 40

To keep the Spirit Pagoda from being implicated in a coming conflict, Wuji later adopted the identity Leng Wushuang and returned in disguise to coordinate with Gu Yue and her allies. 182 183

Qiangu Wuji is a strikingly beautiful, androgynous boy whose appearance is frequently mistaken for that of a girl. His looks attract considerable attention from students, teachers, and strangers. 1 28 69

Behind his harmless appearance, he is calculating and occasionally manipulative. He conceals abilities, uses his charm and innocence to lower others’ guard, and monitors potential threats through Spiritual Detection. Wu Zhangkong in particular distrusts his motives. 7 59 63 160

He is fiercely determined when protecting others. He remained behind to shield the Shu Family from a far stronger opponent and repeatedly endures punishment or injury rather than surrender. 74 170

His confidence can become recklessness, especially after discovering Phoenix True Fire. He initially treats its healing as a reason to trade injuries in battle, until Leng Yaozhu explains that the bloodline consumes life force and does not make him truly immortal. 19 22 23
