Background / History

Qian Ningshuang was born shortly after Qian Xunji returned severely injured from a soul-hunting operation. Qian Chongling, awakening within the bracelet carried by Qian Xunji, had Qian Xunji bring the newborn to Wuhun Hall; Qian Daoliu gave her the Qian surname and raised her as his adopted granddaughter. She is not blood-related to the Qian family, despite Bibi Dong's suspicions. 1 16 27

A transmigrator from Blue Star, Ningshuang retained knowledge of Douluo and related stories. She also arrived with a Bianka Durandal character template, the Holy Sword Durandal, a Stigmata Space, and the real Abyss Flower within her body. 1 10 70

Her closest childhood relationship was with Qian Renxue, whom she regards as her elder sister. Before awakening her martial soul, Ningshuang's exceptional physique had already drawn Wuhun Hall's attention after she defeated Tian Yao, an eighteen-level Soul Master, at age five. 1

During her first soul hunt in the Star Dou Great Forest, she met the consciousness of Holy Sword Durandal and absorbed a thousand-year spirit ring. Her vast life energy soon brought her to the attention of Di Tian and Gu Yuena. Though Di Tian took her to the Lake of Life, Ningshuang chose cooperation over hostility; Gu Yuena later assumed a childlike form and began following her. 10 14 18

After witnessing corruption and suffering among common people, Ningshuang abandoned passive observation. She investigated the Lahe City branch hall, acted against corrupt local powers, redistributed seized resources, and attracted both civilians and Soul Masters to her cause. 51 52 61

She expanded that force by recruiting the Breaking, Defense, Strength, and Agility Clans through material support, cultivation assistance, and self-created soul skills. She is playful with people she trusts, particularly Tian Yao and Durandal, and often pursues dramatic or visually impressive displays in battle. At the same time, she is confident enough to provoke stronger opponents and initially places greater value on individual strength than teamwork. 6 32 74
