"Wooo... wooo..." Urgent sirens wailed throughout the base.
"What's going on?" Nie Yun was somewhat stunned.
He walked over to the floor-to-ceiling window and saw that the base had gone on full alert. Not only had its Force Field Shield been activated, but the surrounding Automated Weapons were rising one after another, their turrets rotating into menacing battle positions.
The building Nie Yun occupied stood in the center of the base, right beside the command center. It belonged to the VIP area and offered a clear view of every part of the base.
Squads of soldiers and armored units rushed to their defensive positions, their movements betraying a hint of panic.
Nie Yun swept his consciousness across the base, and the Mechanical Insects scattered throughout it fed back all kinds of intelligence... intruders detected!
"Intruders? Could it be the Kara Civilization?"
This was territory occupied by the Twin Stars. If anyone on this planet still had the ability to attack this base, it could only be their sole enemy here-the Kara Civilization!
Nie Yun felt a faint tremor beneath his feet, and then, a moment later...
Boom, boom, boom! Amid a series of earth-shaking explosions, dirt and rocks suddenly erupted all around the base. Hundreds of dark green vines as thick as buckets rose from the dust!
Like agile giant pythons, the densely packed vines swiftly coiled around the base, following the surface of the Force Field Shield until they had wrapped the entire compound in a hemispherical green ball of vines!
Once they had encircled the base, they seemed to lose their vitality, hardening in place and ceasing to move. With the sky above the base blocked out, the light immediately dimmed.
"Plant-type skill: Battlefield Concealment Technique complete!" Nie Yun watched with interest, briefly serving as his own battlefield
