Chu Feng built the Chu Group from the ground up and leads it as chairwoman. Under her leadership, the company expands rapidly into ocean trade and Southeast Asia, bringing it into direct conflict with the long-established Riyao Group. Her commercial methods and her daughter Chu Xiaoxiao's business talent repeatedly erode Riyao's market share. 17

When Xiaoxiao is abducted by the Desperate Trio, Chu Feng waits anxiously at Nanwan Pier with bodyguards. Upon her daughter's safe return after two days, she rushes to embrace her, prioritizing Xiaoxiao's wellbeing over police questioning. 13

After learning that Nie Yun rescued Xiaoxiao, Chu Feng suspects Riyao Group of orchestrating the kidnapping and resolves to answer underhanded tactics with commercial retaliation. She also substantially increases Xiaoxiao's security detail. 17

A second kidnapping attempt exposes Feng Ge's connection to Riyao Group, but the case later stalls for lack of evidence. Chu Feng confronts Public Security Bureau Chief Liu Guodong over the lack of progress and protects Xiaoxiao from further questioning. 39 40

Chu Feng initially doubts Xiaoxiao's claim that Nie Yun can supply nuclear fuel. Once Professor Fang verifies the uranium's authenticity and exceptional purity, she immediately mobilizes the Chu Group's security force to secure it. 44 46 She later negotiates a deal with Commander Hu of the Southeast Military Region: the Chu Group will provide a stable uranium supply in exchange for military-industrial qualifications and assistance resolving its import/export problems. 50
