Cú Chulainn felt a huge complaint stuck in his throat. For a moment, he had no idea how to spit it out.
Just how much did this guy usually slack off to end up competing with a pet over who could slack off better?
But what Cú Chulainn wanted to complain about even more was, "You're telling me Chaldea calls something like that a pet?"
"What else would we call it? Isn't that perfectly normal?"
Mo Wang looked at Cú Chulainn in confusion. Chaldea was full of talented people. What was wrong with keeping a little pet?
Cú Chulainn: ...
Right, right?
Oh, no, no, no.
Right, right, right.
No, no, no.
Cú Chulainn covered his forehead.
He could see it now. Every last one of these people was fucking talented.
Every single one of them had some absurd specialty.
He had thought having one monster like Mo Wang in Chaldea was already enough. Who would have thought there were even bigger experts?
"I can see it now. Every single one of you Chaldeans is a monster, aren't you?" Cú Chulainn could not help saying.
"Not bad. Other than the Director, everyone's actually pretty capable."
Mo Wang thought back to the whole Chaldea crew. Aside from Olga Marie, the honest kid, every one of them was a talent—Demon God Pillars, great inventors, Solomon... all veteran Chaldea employees.
"Hey! What do you mean, other than me?!"
The moment Olga Marie heard Mo Wang's words, she could no longer hold it together.
Was she even human? Was she really not human anymore?!
Seeing the furious Director behind him, Mo Wang silently took two steps back.
It could not be helped. She was an honest kid, so he could not lie, right?
Among a group of godlike companions, Olga Marie, the Director who had exited right at the beginning, truly was an inconspicuous figure.
Even though Olga Marie's setting was that of a magical genius.
But reality proved that no matter how gifted someone was, they could not beat a bunch of cheating monsters.
Thinking of this, Mo Wang could not help sympathizing with the Director.
It really had not been easy for her to survive so long in a place packed with monsters.
PS: Alright, the white tyrant has appeared too. Who else have I forgotten? There should not be anyone else, right?
Black Saber, Awesome!
After Mo Wang and the others entered the deep pit beneath Ryuudou Temple, on the other side, at the site of the great Ley Lines atop the hill, the black Holy Sword wielder standing with her sword planted in the ground opened her eyes. She had clearly sensed something.
The atmosphere in the tunnel was rather oppressive. Olga Marie, whose physical condition was the worst among them, had already begun panting lightly.
"Director, how about we take a break?" Mo Wang asked as he looked at Olga Marie's uncomfortable expression.
"No. I may not be as impressive as you all, but don't underestimate me." A stubborn expression appeared on Olga Marie's face.
"Is that so? Then let's pick up the pace."
Mo Wang did not say much as he looked at the Director's stubborn expression.
Although he could already tell that she was only forcing herself onward with sheer willpower, he still had no intention of stopping Olga Marie.
After all, he understood the Director. Someone as proud as her would never allow herself to slow the group down.
Even if she had to crawl there while gritting her teeth, she would still choose to keep up with everyone.
The tunnel they were in was not very long, but the instant they rushed out of it and saw the hill before them, every mage present, amateur or professional, was stunned.
"What is this...?"
The instant Mashu saw the hill, she sensed an aura that made her feel disgusted.
The magic power in the air was so dense it had reached an extreme. Rather than making her feel comfortable, it made her want to vomit.
The sight before her was something Mashu had never seen before.
Yet Olga Marie recognized it at a glance.
"Isn't this... an ultra-high-grade magical furnace core? Could this be the so-called Greater Holy Grail?"
Olga Marie felt her worldview taking a blow. This thing seemed completely different from the Holy Grail she had imagined.
"Oh?"
The enormous, hollow space carried their voices in echoes. The figure atop the hill was naturally the King Arthur Mo Wang knew well.
Though the one before them had not only turned black, even her trademark ahoge had vanished without a trace.
"Come to think of it, what should an ahoge king without an ahoge be called? Black Saber, maybe? Tch, that sounds kind of weird. An ahoge king without an ahoge really has no soul."
Although ominous black magic power coiled around her, with not a trace of the Knight King's radiance remaining, making her feel like a terrifying beast, Mo Wang could still joke without a care.
"What powerful magic power..." Looking at Saber in the distance, Olga Marie could not help marveling. The magic power erupting from the other woman had vaporized to the point where it was visible to the naked eye.
No matter how one looked at it, the Saber before them was fundamentally different from every Servant they had encountered before.
She exuded an overwhelming visual pressure.
"So that's Saber?" Upon seeing Black Saber, Mashu instinctively raised her shield in front of herself, aiming it at Saber.
"A shield?" Black Saber pulled the Holy Sword from the ground. The blade that had originally been invisible was now not only clearly visible, but displayed an abnormal black-and-red intertwined form. It could no longer be called a Holy Sword at all; calling it a demonic sword would be more fitting. "Prepare yourself, unknown girl. Whether your shield is truly unbreakable will be determined by this sword."
"So, are the two of us being ignored? I feel a little hurt." Seeing that Saber's eyes held only Mashu and did not regard either him or Mo Wang as worthy of notice, Cú Chulainn felt slightly crushed.
Before Chaldea arrived, had he not been the Servant who had kept resisting in this world?
He had even always considered himself her opponent.
"Cut it out. It's not like this is the first time you've been ignored. To everyone else, you're basically comic relief, after all."
Mo Wang helplessly spread his hands. Doggy was quite strong, and he was fairly popular too.
But whenever he showed up, he always ended up being bullied.
What a tragedy, Doggy. What a tragedy.
Ignoring Doggy, whose fighting spirit had been shattered, Mo Wang turned his gaze toward Black Saber.
When it came to Artoria Pendragon Alter's strength, what was the usual first impression?
FSN players would answer: fucking infinite beam cannons!
Those who had watched Carnival Phantasm would say: Black Saber, Maid Outfit! A comedy powerhouse!
FGO players would probably say: Mana Burst! Beam cannon! High multipliers!!
Of course, none of that was the main point.
"Damn, that's spectacular."
Black Saber raised the Holy Sword in her hand. Surging magic power gathered high in the air, and the materialized energy made that pillar of light look like an enormous Lightsaber.
"This is way more exciting than a fifty-meter ship-slaying blade! Make one for me too!"
As Mo Wang watched the massive pillar of light, he felt that if it came crashing down, Fuyuki City would probably be split straight in two.
"Senior, stop joking around! There's no way I can block that thing!"
The moment Mashu saw the enormous beam cannon, she shouted at Mo Wang beside her.
If that thing came down, they would probably all be reduced to bits.
"Don't panic, Mashu. It's only a beam cannon. Watch me send it back with Heavenly Fire Sacred Judgment!"
Mo Wang stared at the pillar of light in the distance without a trace of panic on his face, displaying instead complete composure. He lowered his head slightly, brought his hands together before his chest, and began using Projection Magic.
"Projection, begin!" His voice was clear and resolute, as though declaring the battle that was about to unfold.
Amid everyone's frantic gazes, two uniquely shaped pistols gradually appeared in Mo Wang's hands.
With a low shout, the pistols transformed in an instant into a greatsword. Blazing flames shimmered along its blade, like raging fire erupting from the Abyss.
"Judgment! Unsheathed!" With his cry, flames surged out like a tidal wave, instantly illuminating the space around him. The temperature abruptly rose, and the air filled with scorching heat. A massive pillar of fire shot into the sky, reflecting the Lightsaber in Saber's hands and forming two utterly different yet equally dazzling radiances.
"What is that?!"
Seeing the pillar of fire break through the heavens, everyone's expressions became extraordinarily colorful.
Mo Wang had actually been holding back something like this?!
Even Saber on the other side hesitated slightly the moment she saw the greatsword in Mo Wang's hands.
What exactly was this guy?
PS: Emmmmm, a new dungeon is about to begin. Where should they go? How about NIKKE to tease bratty girls? (Smirk)
You're Saying the Next Draw Is Guaranteed to Be a Takeuchi Face?
Heavenly Fire Sacred Judgment—well, veteran players who were familiar with it preferred calling this weapon Heavenly Fire Self-Execution.
It was considered one of the easiest weapons to obtain in the early days.
Though it was a five-star weapon, it had a one-hundred-percent drop rate from dungeons. It looked ridiculously awesome in the story, but in actual gameplay, not even dogs used it.
Other than placing it among the Divine Keys for stat bonuses, it mostly gathered dust in the warehouse.
At most, during the ancient days of Honkai Impact 3rd, it could be used as an accessory for monkeying around.
But the worse it was in the game, the more absurdly overpowered it was in the story.
As Kevin, Honkai Impact 3rd's first true badass, personal weapon, even though it had not unlocked its dedicated An-Utu mode, its power was still the greatest among the Divine Keys—limited to the Divine Keys of the Previous Civilization.
The rushing flames swept in like a violent torrent, as though they would reduce the entire city to ashes. The buildings lining the streets appeared utterly fragile before the heat wave. Windows shattered instantly, glass fragments scattering everywhere as the firelight dyed half the sky red.
The air was filled with a pungent smell of burning, and the blistering heat made it difficult to breathe. Even the surrounding space began warping under the high temperature.
This power came from the legacy of the Honkai Previous Civilization, the strongest Divine Key forged from the Flame Herrscher's core. Under Mo Wang's absurdly exaggerated magical amplification, it unleashed unimaginable light and heat.
That radiance was like the wrath of a god, tearing apart the night sky.
"Holy Sword Excalibur!" Sensing the threat, Saber raised the Holy Sword in her hand without hesitation. Golden radiance surged forth like a flood, instantly swallowing everything around her as the dazzling sword light mercilessly shot toward Mo Wang, as though it would utterly crush the enemy before her.
"Judgment, unsheathed!" At that moment, Mo Wang's gaze was as resolute as blazing fire. He swung Heavenly Fire Sacred Judgment in his hand, and the surging flames raced toward the beam like a wild beast. It almost seemed as though the roaring of the flames could be heard in the air.
"These two really are monsters! They're only clashing Noble Phantasms, yet it's already this absurd!"
Cú Chulainn clicked his tongue as he watched the magic power pouring out from both sides.
Either of them was a genuine monster.
"What exactly is that sword? Can a mere projection really reach this level?"
Cú Chulainn knew that the sword in King Arthur's hands was a genuine A++ Anti-Fortress Noble Phantasm.
Not only was it immensely powerful by itself, it also had Saber's current high-intensity magic power supporting it.
Yet now, it was actually struggling to overcome the sword in Mo Wang's hands.
"What is going on?"
Saber's expression filled with confusion as she watched the flames steadily closing in.
Her magic power was clearly still abundant, and her Noble Phantasm was still being released at maximum output.
So why were the other side's flames still drawing closer?
"Could it be that this guy's magic power is stronger than the entire Holy Grail?"
As she watched the encroaching inferno, a faint smile appeared on Saber's face.
"If I had a Master of this level, perhaps..."
BOOM!
As the terrifying flames swallowed Saber, Judgment's attack finally came to an end.
"Did it break? As expected, even if Projection Magic is continuously reinforced with magic power, it can only serve as a one-use item." Looking at the Holy Sword in his hand as it gradually began to dissipate, Mo Wang seemed somewhat disappointed.
