She rolled around on the bed twice, only to realize that Lumine had not lain down to rest as usual.
Paimon turned over and saw Lumine sitting in the chair by the window, gazing at the moonlight outside as though she were lost in thought.
"Hm? Lumine?" Paimon tilted her head. "What are you thinking about? Aren't you tired at all?"
Lumine did not answer right away. Instead, she reached into her pocket and slowly took something out.
It was a palm-sized sphere with a faint golden sheen. It was currently emitting a soft glow, as though something were sleeping within it.
Paimon recognized it at once. She sat up on the bed and clapped her little hands. "Huh? Isn't that the thing that guy in the black hood gave you back in Natlan?"
"Yeah." Lumine held the Stellaron in her palm, looking at it with a complicated expression. "That person said that if I held onto this, it could grant the wish I wanted most... He said it could help me find my brother."
Paimon curled her lips. "You actually believed something like that? It's obviously the trick of some professional scammer! Didn't you get enough of that back in Liyue? Those quack doctors claiming they could 'cure every illness' or 'make all wishes come true' always turned out to be frauds!"
Lumine gently stroked the Stellaron's smooth surface and murmured, "I might as well try. Anyway..."
She paused, her voice growing even softer. "Even if I did see him, I wouldn't know what to say to him."
Seeing Lumine's lonely expression, Paimon felt a little upset as well. She flew up from the bed, moved close to Lumine, and scratched her head. "In that case... let's give it a try! There's no harm in trying, right?"
