Ch. 401On Just How Many World-Destroying Things Mo Wang Had.

Mo Wang captured the exhausted Childe and ran into Hu Tao, who demanded compensation for damage to her funeral parlor. He offered her a medicine he called the Elixir of Immortality, leaving Hu Tao and Zhongli shocked and skeptical.

  • Childe fled Wangsheng Funeral Parlor but encountered Mo Wang outside, with Hu Tao pursuing him from behind.
  • Mo Wang knocked Childe unconscious with his ancestral Baseball Bat and prepared to take him for the bounty.
  • Hu Tao stopped Mo Wang and demanded ten thousand Mora for his damage to her roof and bath barrel.
  • Mo Wang said he had no money and offered a medicine as collateral, identifying it as the Elixir of Immortality.
  • Hu Tao and Zhongli stared at the medicine in disbelief and doubted Mo Wang's claim.

Ch. 402On Just How Many World-Destroying Things Mo Wang Had. (cont.)

Mo Wang tried to pay Hu Tao’s ten-thousand-Mora debt with dangerous objects from other worlds, but she refused and chased him as he dragged the unconscious Tartaglia toward the Liyue Qixing. The chapter ended with Mo Wang and Hu Tao racing through Liyue while bystanders watched in alarm.

  • Hu Tao rejected Mo Wang’s Elixir of Life after he explained that it could eventually turn its user into a murderous monster.
  • Mo Wang offered Hu Tao a Honkai energy bomb, a Stellaron, a Holy Grail, and a god-sealing card, warning that each could cause catastrophic destruction or death.
  • Zhongli urged Hu Tao to let Mo Wang complete his mission for the Liyue Qixing, but Hu Tao insisted on following him to make sure he paid his debt.
  • Mo Wang fled while dragging the unconscious Tartaglia, and Hu Tao chased after him, telling Zhongli to watch the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor.
  • Mo Wang dragged Tartaglia through Liyue toward Cider House as Hu Tao pursued him, alarming pedestrians and prompting Paimon to warn that Tartaglia’s head was hitting the road.

Ch. 403The Fatui abandoning their teammates doesn’t count as betrayal!

Mo Wang dragged the battered Childe to the Liyue Qixing’s administrative office after Hu Tao chased him over an unpaid debt. He handed Childe over to Ningguang and Keqing, who discovered the Fatui Harbinger was still alive when Mo Wang kicked him.

  • Mo Wang fled through Liyue with Childe while Hu Tao chased him over ten thousand Mora, and they crashed into Ningguang and Keqing’s office.
  • The Millelith arrived late as Hu Tao and Mo Wang continued arguing about her debt and the value of Mo Wang’s possessions.
  • Ningguang shouted at them to stop, then composed herself and asked whether Mo Wang had found Childe.
  • Mo Wang tossed the badly beaten Tartaglia to Ningguang and Keqing, who questioned whether he was alive.
  • Mo Wang kicked Childe, and Childe sprang up with a cry.

Ch. 404Mo Wang! Go kill all the adepti in Liyue!

Mo Wang and Ningguang questioned Childe about the attack on the Geo Archon, while Childe revealed that La Signora and Scaramouche were also in Liyue. Mo Wang was shocked by the unexpected news as he and Hu Tao played cards nearby.

  • Mo Wang brought the exhausted Childe to Ningguang, who said the Fatui had been summoned for an investigation into high-interest lending in Liyue.
  • Hu Tao complained that the interrogation was boring, so she and Mo Wang started a Yu-Gi-Oh! match with Mimi and Paimon.
  • Ningguang asked Childe whether the Fatui were responsible for the assassination attempt on the Geo Archon, and Childe denied knowing of any such plan.
  • Childe revealed that two other Fatui Executors, La Signora and Scaramouche, were in Liyue, surprising Mo Wang.

Ch. 405Mo Wang! Go kill all the adepti in Liyue! (Continued)

After Childe revealed the Fatui plan to unseal the Abyssal Lord at Guyun Stone Forest, Ningguang asked Mo Wang to address the uncertainty surrounding the Adepti after the Emperor’s death. Mo Wang agreed to go for five million Mora, leaving Liyue’s leaders ready to send him to the Adepti.

  • Childe explained that the Fatui had planned to release the Abyssal Lord with the Hundred Taboos Talisman and use it to draw out the Geo Archon, but the Emperor’s assassination disrupted the scheme.
  • Childe admitted Scaramouche was likely still at Guyun Stone Forest and revealed details of his companions’ missions after being captured.
  • Ningguang worried that the Adepti might turn against Liyue Harbor now that the Emperor was dead, and she asked Mo Wang to visit them.
  • Mo Wang demanded five million Mora to deal with the Adepti, and Ningguang accepted the price without bargaining.
  • Mo Wang reflected that Liyue still had several Adepti with Archon-level strength, while the human government struggled to enforce its authority over them.

Ch. 406Good heavens! The Geo Archon got sold off by Director Hu for just 100,000 Mora!

Ningguang asked Mo Wang to help deal with the Adepti around Liyue’s Rite of Descension, but his eagerness to charge for beating or killing them alarmed her. The chapter ended with Mo Wang accepting a twelve-million-Mora job while complaining that the payment was too low.

  • Mo Wang claimed he could defeat the Seven Archons and said he had nearly killed Dvalin before Venti pleaded for the dragon’s life.
  • Mo Wang offered to kill all the Adepti for one hundred million Mora, leaving Ningguang appalled and Paimon and Hu Tao dazzled by the money.
  • Ningguang insisted that the Adepti had served Liyue and said she would explain the truth to them, but Mo Wang offered to beat them instead.
  • Ningguang named Cloud Retainer, Mountain Shaper, Ganyu, and the Great Demon-Subduing Saint as the Adepti needed for the Rite of Descension.
  • Mo Wang calculated that the job would earn him twelve million Mora and complained that the sum was too small.

Ch. 407Good heavens! The Geo Archon got sold off by Director Hu for just 100,000 Mora! (Continued)

Ningguang hired Mo Wang to deal with the Adepti for twelve million Mora, while leaving Guyun Stone Forest to the Millelith. After Mo Wang departed, he recruited Hu Tao to bring Zhongli along, leaving Hu Tao trying to raise the fee.

  • Ningguang declined Mo Wang’s offer to handle Guyun Stone Forest and hired him to resolve the Adepti situation for twelve million Mora.
  • Mo Wang privately anticipated that the Millelith might fail at Guyun Stone Forest, giving him an excuse to charge more later.
  • Mo Wang left Yujing Terrace, and Hu Tao followed him to demand her 10,000 Mora.
  • Mo Wang offered to pay Wangsheng Funeral Parlor 100,000 Mora for Zhongli to accompany him to meet the Adepti, and Hu Tao accepted.
  • Hu Tao tried to negotiate a higher payment for Zhongli before Mo Wang left.

Ch. 408Zhongli: I’m fighting the adepti of Liyue? Seriously?

Mo Wang hired Zhongli for a hundred thousand Mora to help him beat up Liyue’s Adepti and capture the Five Yakshas for the Rite of Descension. Zhongli was stunned that Hu Tao had accepted the deal so cheaply, but the group was left preparing to carry it out.

  • Hu Tao accepted a hundred and ten thousand Mora from Mo Wang and sold him Zhongli’s services.
  • Mo Wang brought Hu Tao and his attendant back to the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, where Zhongli wondered what work had earned the funeral parlor a hundred thousand Mora.
  • Hu Tao told Zhongli that Mo Wang wanted him to help beat up the Adepti, and Mo Wang clarified that Ningguang had hired him to capture the Five Yakshas for the Rite of Descension.
  • Zhongli realized that Mo Wang’s plan threatened to expose his role in the Adepti’s conflict with Liyue and worried about losing face before his former subordinates.
  • Hu Tao defended the hundred-thousand-Mora deal as excellent business, while Zhongli regretted that she had not demanded more.

Ch. 409Zhongli! Come with me and smash Celestia!

Mo Wang confronted Zhongli about his identity as Morax and asked him about the destruction of Khaenri'ah. Zhongli avoided a fight and began considering how to answer, leaving the mystery unresolved.

  • Hu Tao tried to persuade Mo Wang to hire her and Zhongli, but Zhongli sent her away to negotiate with him privately.
  • Zhongli unleashed a fearsome aura, but he backed down when Mo Wang showed no concern about fighting him.
  • Mo Wang revealed that he knew Zhongli was Morax, shocking Paimon and confirming Mimi's suspicions.
  • Mo Wang admitted he had come partly to laugh at Zhongli, then asked what had happened in Khaenri'ah.
  • Mo Wang dismissed questions about his sister and said he wanted to understand Khaenri'ah's destruction, the Abyss, and forbidden knowledge, while Zhongli considered his response.

Ch. 410Zhongli! Come with me and smash Celestia!

Mo Wang pressed Zhongli for answers about the Abyss, forbidden knowledge, dead gods, and Snezhnaya’s plans, but Zhongli either did not know or was bound by agreements. Mo Wang proposed attacking the sleeping Heavenly Principles with Zhongli and Venti, then settled in to speak with Zhongli as Morax.

  • Mo Wang questioned Zhongli about forbidden knowledge and the Abyss, but Zhongli said he knew little about either.
  • Mo Wang asked whether the gods who had died in the past were truly gone, and Zhongli could not confirm it.
  • Mo Wang asked what the Queen of Snezhnaya planned to do with the seven Gnoses, but Zhongli refused to discuss it because of his agreement with her.
  • Mo Wang drew his sword and urged Zhongli to join him and Venti in attacking the sleeping Heavenly Principles.
  • Zhongli asked what Mo Wang wanted, and Mo Wang sat down and addressed him as Lord Morax, prompting a nearby person to recognize the Geo Archon.

Ch. 411Zhongli! Come with me and smash Celestia! (Continued)

Mo Wang asked Zhongli about Khaenri'ah, the Abyss, forbidden knowledge, and whether the gods who died in the ancient catastrophe were truly gone. Zhongli refused to reveal what his contract forbade and admitted he knew little about the Abyss or the gods’ final fates.

  • Paimon learned Zhongli was alive and was the Geo Archon, while Mimi inferred that he had staged his death so he could retire as a consultant.
  • Mo Wang admitted he had come partly to laugh at Zhongli, then asked what had happened to Khaenri'ah.
  • Zhongli refused to discuss Khaenri'ah because of his agreement with the Heavenly Principles.
  • Mo Wang asked about forbidden knowledge and the Abyss, but Zhongli said he did not know what either truly was.
  • Mo Wang asked whether the gods who died in the ancient catastrophe were truly dead, and Zhongli said he could not tell.
  • Zhongli explained that the dead were treated differently across Teyvat: many Liyue souls remained lost, Inazuma had lingering spirits, and Natlan's dead could still return from Night God's Country.

Ch. 412What does adeptus meat taste like in hot pot?

Mo Wang pressed Zhongli about Snezhnaya’s plan and demanded to know whether the Archons could help kill the Heavenly Principles, but Zhongli would not reveal what he knew. They negotiated Zhongli’s fee to accompany Mo Wang to find the Five Yakshas, and Hu Tao arrived as their discussion ended.

  • Mo Wang demanded that Zhongli explain The Queen of Snezhnaya’s intentions and angrily proposed joining forces to kill the Heavenly Principles.
  • Zhongli doubted Mo Wang’s claims about his strength and asked whether his sister was stronger than him.
  • Mo Wang showed Zhongli his contract with Wangsheng Funeral Parlor and insisted he had paid only one hundred thousand Mora.
  • Mo Wang and Zhongli haggled over Zhongli’s fee until they agreed on two hundred thousand Mora, with Hu Tao also accompanying Mo Wang.
  • Paimon complained to Mimi about the Archons, and Hu Tao hurried back after going out to find business.

Ch. 413My abode! My abode!

Mo Wang, Hu Tao, Zhongli, Paimon, and Mimi headed to Jueyun Karst so Mo Wang could challenge the Adepti, while he joked about cooking their flesh in hot pot. Zhongli explained that few Adepti remained there, and Mo Wang realized there might be more Adepti than Ningguang had asked him to find.

  • Hu Tao celebrated Zhongli's 100,000 Mora deal with Mo Wang and eagerly asked when Mo Wang would fight the Adepti.
  • Mo Wang promised to visit the Adepti that day and privately asked Zhongli whether their flesh was edible for hot pot.
  • Mo Wang speculated about using Adepti and Archons as hot-pot ingredients, causing two meditating Adepti to wake in a cold sweat.
  • Mo Wang and the others arrived at Jueyun Karst, where Hu Tao questioned whether the secluded cliffs really held many Adepti.
  • Zhongli explained that Jueyun Karst had once sheltered many Adepti, but wars, calamities, and Erosion had left only a few.
  • Mo Wang remembered the Five Yakshas and suspected Ningguang had shortchanged him by asking him to find only four Adepti.

Ch. 414Zhongli: If you’re the Geo Archon, then who am I?

Mo Wang’s group reached Mount Hulao to find Mountain Shaper, but Mo Wang refused to request an audience and blasted through the Adeptus’s barrier with the Chi You Cannon. Mountain Shaper emerged furious and badly singed, while he recognized Zhongli among the visitors.

  • Zhongli told Mo Wang that Mountain Shaper lived on Mount Hulao, the nearest Adeptus abode in Jueyun Karst.
  • Mo Wang rejected the need for a Hundred Taboos Talisman and pounded on Mountain Shaper’s barrier while Hu Tao questioned his approach.
  • Mo Wang brought out the Chi You Cannon and fired it at the mountain gate, forcing Hu Tao, Paimon, Zhongli, and Mimi to take cover.
  • The blast destroyed the barrier and shook Mount Hulao, nearly knocking Mountain Shaper from his meditation cushion and filling his abode with smoke.
  • Mountain Shaper flew out with many of his feathers burned off, angrily demanded to know who had attacked, and then froze when he saw Zhongli.

Ch. 415Zhongli: If you’re the Geo Archon, then who am I? (Continued)

Mo Wang broke free of Mountain Shaper’s amber seal and withstood his Geo attacks, then claimed to be Rex Lapis while fighting back with a shield, falling rocks, and Anemo. Mountain Shaper was left buried in the ground after Mo Wang’s meteor struck him.

  • Mountain Shaper trapped Mo Wang in amber, but Mo Wang shattered the crystal and walked out unharmed.
  • Mountain Shaper attacked Mo Wang with a barrage of Geo stone spikes, which Mo Wang blocked with a shield resembling Zhongli’s Jade Shield.
  • Mo Wang claimed he was Rex Lapis, but Mountain Shaper rejected the claim and Zhongli watched him with suspicion.
  • Mo Wang hurled a massive stone at Mountain Shaper and used Anemo to catch him off guard.
  • Mountain Shaper stopped dodging and was smashed into the ground by Mo Wang’s meteor.

Ch. 416Zhongli: The Lord Has Died, Go Attend His Funeral

Mo Wang accidentally knocked Mountain Shaper unconscious, then helped revive him while he and Zhongli argued over who was to blame. Zhongli told Mountain Shaper that the Lord had died and summoned the Adepti to Liyue Harbor, leaving Mountain Shaper confused but convinced that Zhongli was carrying out a plan.

  • Mo Wang checked Mountain Shaper after striking him, found him badly injured, and treated him as Zhongli watched.
  • Mo Wang and Zhongli argued over Mo Wang’s attack and Mountain Shaper’s unexpected lack of defense.
  • Hu Tao and Paimon examined Mountain Shaper, and Hu Tao noticed when he woke up.
  • Zhongli told Mountain Shaper that the Lord had died and that the Qixing needed the Adepti in Liyue Harbor.
  • Mountain Shaper secretly asked Zhongli what was happening, and Zhongli said he was using someone’s hand to carry out certain plans.

Ch. 417Mo Wang, chosen by [Destruction] and [Trailblaze]

Mo Wang paid Mountain Shaper for damages before continuing his tour of the Adepti with Zhongli, who suspected he had a hidden motive. Mo Wang reflected on his distrust of Teyvat’s factions and the danger surrounding his sister, while deciding that Mimi should handle the next fight.

  • Mo Wang offered Mountain Shaper 100,000 Mora for medical expenses, and Hu Tao reminded him that Ningguang had promised three million Mora for beating an Adeptus.
  • Zhongli told Mountain Shaper that Mo Wang was one of the two Abyssal Travelers from five hundred years ago, then denied responsibility for Mo Wang’s choice to fight the Adepti.
  • Mo Wang urged Zhongli to hurry because they still had three Adepti to visit, while Zhongli wondered why Mo Wang had become so eager to fight after arriving in Liyue.
  • Mo Wang suspected Zhongli had noticed his hidden goal and decided to send Mimi to fight the next Adeptus instead of going himself.
  • Mo Wang thought about his sister leading the Abyss Order and his distrust of the many people and factions trying to use him across Teyvat.
  • Mo Wang worried that Paimon and Mimi might have hidden secrets and envied his other selves for having companions they could trust.

Ch. 418The Lost Heavenly Emperor: Is it finally my turn to step in?

Mo Wang spoke with the fallen Aeon Aevum about his unstable Destruction power and the possibility of becoming an Emanator, then considered which Path suited him. As Mo Wang and Paimon neared their destination, he hid his worries and told her he was tired.

  • Aevum calmed Mo Wang's restless urge to destroy and questioned his worry about Aha's arrival and the danger to those he cared about.
  • Mo Wang asked Aevum to grant him Trailblaze power, but Aevum refused and told him the power was left for him to take.
  • Aevum warned Mo Wang that gifted power and Paths could be dangerous, while Mo Wang recognized that he needed strength to control his own fate.
  • Mo Wang wondered whether to pursue Trailblaze or Destruction, or try to become an Emanator of both Paths.
  • Paimon noticed Mo Wang was lost in thought and asked what was wrong as they approached their destination.
  • Mo Wang said he was tired, and Paimon worried that he had not rested since traveling from Mondstadt to Liyue.

Ch. 419The Lost Heavenly Emperor: Is it finally my turn to step in? (Continued)

Mo Wang decided Mimi would fight the next Adepti, despite Paimon’s objections, while Hu Tao and Zhongli declined to take the fight. At Ganyu’s abode, Xianyun denied worrying about Mountain Shaper, but Shenhe saw through her concern.

  • Mo Wang told Paimon he would leave the next fight to someone else, while Zhongli refused and Hu Tao backed down after learning she could not match an Adepti.
  • Mo Wang summoned Mimi and named her his best partner, prompting Paimon to protest and challenge Mimi’s ability to fight.
  • Mimi bristled at Paimon’s doubts, while Hu Tao wondered whether Mimi was an immortal beast and Zhongli admitted he did not know what she was.
  • At Ganyu’s abode, Xianyun said she had sensed an explosion near Mountain Shaper and denied being worried about him.
  • Shenhe recognized that Xianyun still cared about Mountain Shaper, leaving Xianyun to wonder whether Shenhe was ready to descend the mountain.

Ch. 420Damn it, Signora, are you here to stir up trouble again?

Xianyun scolded Shenhe for eating the Qingxin she had gathered, then sent her outside to sweep. A group of corrupted Millelith soldiers attacked Shenhe and restrained her, but a sudden wind blade cut apart the attack aimed at her.

  • Xianyun ate most of Shenhe's Qingxin, argued with her about food and cultivation, and ordered her to sweep the yard.
  • Shenhe encountered a group of Millelith soldiers who accused her master and the Five Yakshas of murdering the Geo Archon and tried to take her to Liyue Harbor.
  • Shenhe fought the soldiers with her spear and Adeptus arts, freezing them beneath a mass of ice.
  • The soldiers broke free using strange elemental power, bound Shenhe with chains that suppressed her Adeptus strength, and fired a lightning spear at her.
  • A wind blade suddenly cut the lightning spear in half before it could hit Shenhe.
