Background and History
Jiang Yao creates Chiling as an independently acting clone by using a Desolate God soul fragment to possess a body. Their consciousness remains connected regardless of distance. The chosen body is Ximu’s son, Youluan Chiling, whose family is being hunted by the Youluan Clan 126 129 130.
The clone undergoes the Heavenly Star Sacred Altar baptism to develop a credible Luoxiao identity and high-grade bloodline. After attaining the Imperial Bloodline, he gains recognition from the Ancestral God Stele. The stele is revealed to be Lieque, a Beast God Weapon left by Suolun Master, through which Chiling receives the Tiansuo Beast God legacy 143 145 146.
Kuishen Venerable later explains that Chiling needs an Origin Heart to overcome the Imperial Bloodline’s obstacle to becoming an Immortal God. Chiling enters the Prison Race’s realm through the Purgatory Abyss and competes for Origin Hearts in the Killing Absolute Prison. A Universe Venerable’s will hidden in an Origin Heart attempts to enslave him; Jiang Yao responds by stimulating Chiling’s Origin Blood Essence 154 161 171 172.
Appearance
Chiling’s Luoxiao body changes as its bloodline develops. It has bone spikes, tail feathers, and, in later appearances, backward-curving horns and dark-gold eyes 143 188.

Personality
Chiling has a more flamboyant temperament than Jiang Yao’s human main body, although he keeps a low profile while pursuing the Sacred Altar baptism. His Desolate God will withstands the blood pool’s killing intent even as it intensifies 143.
In the Killing Absolute Prison, repeated battles leave him increasingly accustomed to killing, but he recognizes the threat to his sanity. Jiang Yao’s connected consciousness helps bring him back whenever the killing intent nearly overwhelms him 170 171.
