The moon hung in the sky, casting a layer of cold moonlight over the old dirt road, while the wind blowing toward them carried the distinct, briny scent of the sea.
"I'm telling you, you bastard Simu, you aren't actually planning to settle this whole mess just because you ate one of their roasted suckling pigs, are you?"
Hidan followed behind Simu, asking with a suspicious look.
Hearing this question, Simu smiled slightly and countered, "Do I look like that kind of person to you?"
Hidan curled his lip: "Fair point, you don't exactly look like a good person, either."
However, he remained somewhat puzzled.
"If you weren't planning on making a move, why did you deliberately leave the Jashin necklace at that old man's house?"
Simu raised an eyebrow, looking at Hidan with genuine surprise: "I didn't expect someone with your intellect to actually notice that I left the necklace behind on purpose."
"You bastard Simu, my observational skills are top-tier!"
Hidan said with great confidence, then began to press him again: "So, what was the point of it?"
With his small brain, he truly couldn't fathom why Simu would do such a thing.
Simu smoothed back his hair, which had been ruffled by the sea breeze, adjusted his glasses slightly, and said with interest: "I'm just curious whether that kid will have the courage to try his luck at the Sakamoto Trading Company after getting his hands on the necklace."
"Curious?"
Hidan tilted his head, seemingly unable to grasp Simu's line of thinking.
He immediately clasped his hands behind his head and said with immense disappointment: "Your way of thinking is truly boring; it would be better to just kill a few random people as a sacrifice to Lord Jashin."
Simu didn't say anything; whether the little guy Shiraishi Mori showed up or not was, to Simu, nothing more than a trivial matter.
The distance from the Shiraishi household to the seaside pier wasn't far. Although it was very dark, Simu had the guidance of hundreds of Raven and tens of thousands of Black Beetle, so he soon arrived at their destination with Hidan.
Sakamoto Trading Company.
A luxurious and massive cruise ship.
In stark contrast to this cruise ship were the old fishing boats tied to the pier with iron chains.
This was undoubtedly the work of the Sakamoto Trading Company; to avoid disrupting the operation of their floating casino, they hadn't just seized the troublemaking fishermen, they had even impounded their boats.
Faced with such a situation, the villagers had absolutely no way to respond.
After all, the Shinobi World didn't have sound laws like the ones from Simu's past life, nor were there any law enforcement agencies to protect the safety of ordinary residents.
If they wanted to drive away the Sakamoto Trading Company, they only had two options.
First, rely on their own strength to fight the trading company to the end.
But with Shiraishi Mori's father having been captured, that option seemed to have already gone bankrupt.
Second, everyone pools their money together and sends a representative to a nearby hidden village to post a bounty mission.
Unfortunately, this small fishing village simply couldn't scrape together that much money.
Therefore, they could only watch helplessly as the Sakamoto Trading Company cut off their livelihood.
Simu didn't have much of a reaction to this.
In the Shinobi World, this was just a very normal occurrence that happened countless times every day.
In the past, he might have been filled with righteous indignation, but things were different now; he wasn't even human anymore!
"Who are you people?"
On the pier, several thugs from the Sakamoto Trading Company spotted the two figures.
Hidan rubbed his neck and said impatiently: "My name is Hidan, hurry up and call that guy Sakamoto out to see me."
Beside him, Simu wore an "as expected" expression.
This guy was always so good at drawing aggro, no matter the situation.
Sure enough, upon hearing Hidan's arrogant reply, the faces of the four thugs immediately darkened.
"You think you can just see our boss whenever you want?"
With that, they drew their weapons.
"What do you say?"
Hidan glanced at Simu.
Simu shrugged: "Whatever."
The next second, Hidan charged out.
Almost in an instant, Hidan appeared right in front of them.
And then
He was run through the abdomen by a blade.
"Uh..."
The thug looked at Hidan, who had been impaled by his blade, feeling somewhat dazed.
This guy was so fast, and he had only intended to swing his blade to force him back, so how did he end up running right into it?
However, something even more puzzling occurred.
The guy whose abdomen he had just pierced raised his head and flashed a sinister grin at him.
"Are you ready to accept the judgment of Lord Jashin?"
Hidan grinned wide, reaching out to grip the blade that had impaled his stomach.
"What kind of joke is this!"
Facing such a bizarre scene, the thug instinctively tried to pull his blade back and retreat.
But no matter how much force he exerted, the blade remained firmly held in Hidan's grasp.
With no other choice, he had to abandon the long blade and scramble backward.
Just as he retreated, Hidan pulled the blade out, reversed his grip, and thrust it straight through the enemy before him!
Foul-smelling blood gushed out like a fountain.
The other three thugs were stunned.
Is this how you fight, you lunatic?
But Hidan was clearly not satisfied yet; he lunged forward, grabbed another thug by the neck, and hoisted him high into the air.
"With only this much strength, you have absolutely no value as a sacrifice."
He said this with a sense of boredom before snapping the guy's neck.
The remaining two felt a chill run down their spines, but they made their choice.
Two long blades struck simultaneously, one from the left and one from the right, hacking heavily into Hidan's waist!
"Splurt!"
A large amount of blood surged from the wounds. Hidan let go of his hand, allowing the corpse he was holding to drop to the ground, and complained with dissatisfaction:
"Too weak, you are all just too weak!"
His eyes revealed a hint of crimson in the night, and a black spear slid out from his trench coat, piercing the enemy in an instant and finishing them off with ease.
This intense battle naturally caught the attention of other thugs on the cruise ship.
Even the target of Simu and Hidan this time, one of the Jashin Cult's partners, Mr. Sakamoto, arrived on the scene in person.
Mr. Sakamoto appeared, surrounded by a large group of bodyguards.
He looked at the bloody scene on the ground, frowned slightly, and asked, "You two are from the Jashin Cult, right?"
Only the lunatics of the Jashin Cult would do something like this.
Simu nodded: "You must be Mr. Sakamoto. We are here under the orders of the Cult Leader to complete the mission you entrusted to us."
Sakamoto looked at the four thugs on the ground who had been crushed like chicks and let out a sharp breath.
"Are you sure you're here to complete the mission?"
You're here to complete my entrusted mission, so you start by killing my men, is that it?
Facing Mr. Sakamoto's question, Simu replied quite calmly: "This must be a misunderstanding."
"Your men didn't seem to give us a chance to introduce ourselves before they launched an attack on us."
"They stabbed my partner first, and my partner merely stabbed them back; that is perfectly reasonable."
