When Natsuki reached Konoha's outpost, he discovered that they no longer needed reinforcements.
After all, the Konoha ninja who should have been defending the outpost had already charged out.
The reason for all this was the father-and-son pair, Might Guy and Might Duy.
Before Natsuki went to the main camp in the Land of Rain, he had told his three students to follow Might Duy.
The four of them had then been assigned to this outpost to guard against the attacking Iwagakure ninja.
Both Might Guy and Might Duy were prone to getting carried away.
During the battle, both had activated the Eight Gates Formation and charged out.
Their strength made their offensive highly effective.
Seeing that they had torn a hole in the Iwagakure ninja's defenses, the other Konoha ninja had followed them.
And so a defensive battle had turned into an offensive.
Natsuki watched for a moment, then gave the order, and the ninja he had brought joined the battlefield.
Before long, the Iwagakure ninja were either dead or surrendering, and the battle drew to a close.
"Teacher Natsuki!"
Might Guy, Yuhi Kurenai, and Shizune ran up to him after the battle.
"You all did well, especially Guy."
Natsuki spoke with a smile.
"It was all thanks to my dad."
Might Guy gave him a thumbs-up as he spoke.
"You all deserve credit."
Natsuki nodded and said, "Once the war is over, the village will reward everyone for their contributions."
"Teacher Natsuki."
Something suddenly occurred to Yuhi Kurenai, and she asked curiously, "Why did you come to reinforce us?"
When the outpost's defenses had been arranged yesterday, there had been no mention of reinforcements.
