Lady Tsunade

Natsuki didn't study it right away.

After applying medicine to Nawaki, he helped him down the mountain.

"Not bad."

Seeing them, Orochimaru spoke up. "But Nawaki was too careless when carrying out the assassination."

Clearly, he had watched the whole thing from the shadows.

Earlier, when Nawaki assassinated the enemy, his target had let out a scream before dying, alerting the entire Bandit Stronghold.

"Sorry."

Nawaki replied sheepishly.

"Even failure teaches you something. Remember what you learned today, and you won't make the same mistake again."

Orochimaru lectured him in a calm voice.

"Yes, Sensei."

Nawaki nodded firmly.

"We'll rest here for the night and return to Konoha tomorrow."

Orochimaru gave his instructions. "Nawaki, you'll write the report for this mission."

After every mission, a detailed report of what had happened had to be submitted to Konoha.

This was partly to prevent ninja squads from falsifying their accomplishments, and partly to keep records that might be useful later.

They quickly set up camp.

With nothing else to do, Natsuki returned to his tent.

Once seated, he eagerly began studying the Enfirea Template he had just acquired.

It came from Overlord, also known as The King of the Undead or simply Bone King.

The first ability was Enfirea's Talent.

He could use any magical item without restriction, including those limited to specific races or bloodlines.

But in the Ninja World, that would mean ninja tools.

How should he put it?

The ability had limited use in the Ninja World.

Ninja tools there didn't have many restrictions.

The only ones Natsuki could think of were the Uchiha Gunbai and the Six Paths Treasured Tools.

But according to the original story, anyone could use them anyway.

Natsuki suddenly let out a quiet sound of surprise.

There was the Box of Ultimate Bliss, which was said to be one of the Six Paths Treasured Tools. Opening it required a huge amount of Chakra and a complex Cursed Technique.

Could his Talent open the Box of Ultimate Bliss directly?

The thing was, the Box of Ultimate Bliss was like a corrupted Holy Grail. It could grant wishes, but in a horribly twisted way.

Natsuki had no interest in opening this so-called Box of Ultimate Bliss.

But since it was similar to a corrupted Holy Grail, could it trigger a Character Template from Type-Moon, or the Fate series?

He wasn't strong enough yet, though, so he could put that off.

The remaining three abilities were less abilities than recipes for three potions.

Of the three, the Blue Healing Potion was the least impressive.

The Red Healing Potion: Blood of God and the Stamina Recovery Potion, on the other hand, were top-tier. They'd be useful to anyone, from Genin to Jonin.

The difficulty of their recipes proved as much.

For example, the Red Healing Potion: Blood of God required Hashirama or White Zetsu Cells.

The name of the potion did include the words "Blood of God," after all.

At least it didn't require Ōtsutsuki Kaguya's blood. That would have made it completely useless.

If he could get his hands on Ōtsutsuki Kaguya's blood, would he even need this potion?

The Stamina Recovery Potion required Tailed Beast Chakra and Hero Water.

For Natsuki, getting Tailed Beast Chakra wasn't especially difficult.

Once Uzumaki Kushina became the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, he could just ask her to let a little Nine-Tails Chakra leak out.

Hero Water came from Takigakure and was the village's most precious treasure.

It permanently increased the user's Chakra reserves, but at the cost of shortening their lifespan.

It sounded like trading health for magic points.

Natsuki suspected the Stamina Recovery Potion's true purpose was to use Hero Water to convert Tailed Beast Chakra, restoring stamina and easing fatigue.

In the Ninja World, a ninja's stamina was equivalent to their physical strength, and physical strength could be converted into Chakra.

After thinking it over, Natsuki decided to start with the simplest potion: the Blue Healing Potion.

Its recipe included seven medicinal ingredients.

Natsuki had studied basic medical knowledge with Yakushi Nonō before, including different medicinal herbs.

He recognized all seven. In other words, they were all available for purchase.

The hardest part for him would be extraction.

After finding the ingredients, he would have to extract their active components.

And to do that, Natsuki would need to become a medical ninja.

He didn't have much talent for Medical Ninjutsu, but luckily, extraction wasn't difficult. It was an E-rank Medical Ninjutsu, the very basics of the basics.

Natsuki fell into thought.

There were quite a few late bloomers in the Ninja World.

Jiraiya, for example.

He hadn't shown much talent when he was young. It wasn't until he became a contract holder of Mount Myoboku that he made a name for himself in the Ninja World.

Natsuki could become a late-blooming medical ninja, too.

He could start with potions and build himself an image as a medical ninja with a knack for making them.

Besides, the system required him to independently complete the preparation of three different potions.

He had only ever made anesthetics. He had some foundation, but not much.

In any case, he'd have to ask Tsunade for help.

The third day came.

The three of them returned to Konoha without incident.

Orochimaru said goodbye to them and went to turn in the mission.

Natsuki followed Nawaki to Konoha Hospital.

"Big Sis, I'm back!"

Nawaki didn't even knock. He rushed straight into Tsunade's office.

"Why are you still so reckless?"

Tsunade scolded him, but the smile on her face revealed how she truly felt.

"Heh."

Nawaki laughed it off and excitedly started telling her about the mission.

For the most part, he stuck to the facts. He just embellished the fighting a little, stopping only short of saying that the three Supreme Beings had fought all the way to the end of the Great Dao.

Tsunade knew he was exaggerating, but she didn't call him out. She listened with a smile.

Natsuki thought he could see a hint of motherly warmth in her expression.

But that was only natural.

Tsunade really had raised Nawaki, acting as both his big sister and his mother.

She could practically be his... Ahem.

"You've all worked hard. Go home and get some rest."

After listening, Tsunade waved them off.

"Senior Nawaki, you go on ahead. There's something I'd like to ask Lady Tsunade."

Natsuki stayed where he was and explained.

Seeing this, Nawaki didn't ask questions. He turned and left.

"Lady Tsunade,"

Natsuki said directly, "I'd like to learn how to make some medicines, like Military Ration Pills."

It wouldn't do to claim right off the bat that he'd come up with a recipe himself.

His foundation wasn't strong enough to create a recipe from scratch. He needed to learn first.

Military Ration Pills were among the most common medicines in the Ninja World. They restored a certain amount of stamina and Chakra.

In the original story, Haruno Sakura often made Military Ration Pills.

"What made you suddenly think of this?"

Tsunade asked, slightly surprised.

"Teacher often takes Nawaki and me on missions, but our squad doesn't have a medical ninja, so medicine is important," Natsuki explained. "I studied with Nonō before, so I have a bit of a foundation."

"I see."

Tsunade sighed. "Nawaki is lucky to have a teammate like you."

When she'd chosen Natsuki as Nawaki's teammate, she'd thought he was strong.

But now, it seemed he was excellent in every way.

Who wouldn't want a teammate who was strong, thoughtful, could make medicine, and could cook?

"All right."

After giving it some thought, Tsunade said, "Starting today, you can learn how to make medicine from me."

"Thank you, Teacher Tsunade."

Natsuki blinked at her.

He took every chance he got to get closer to Tsunade.

After all, having someone powerful to rely on in Konoha made life safer.

Tsunade didn't say anything in response.

She was teaching Natsuki to make medicine, so she could indeed be called his teacher.

And calling her Teacher Tsunade was different from simply calling Orochimaru "Teacher."
