History
At its height, the Immortal Crossing Gate sect carved out a unique starry-sky world known as the Immortal Realm. Time moved differently within it: one outside day equaled one year in the realm. Numerous Immortal Crossing Gates served as passages into it, though their total number is unknown. 1590
The Purple Realm Alliance later defeated the Immortal Crossing Gate. Before the sect's destruction, its Immortal Realm shattered into countless fragments that drifted through the star field and became the Immortal Crossing Gates near Purple Realm Stars. 1557
Despite the ruin of its sect and the deaths of its immortals, the fragments retained inheritances and “immortal destiny.” Survivors could obtain an inheritance within the ruins, cultivate there for decades, then leave and undergo heavenly tribulation to become immortals. 1580

Immortal Crossing Gate World
Entrants into the shattered Immortal Crossing Gate could encounter a world that appeared to be the sect at its peak, populated by figures who had actually died tens of thousands of years earlier. This phenomenon was not considered an ordinary illusion, but something that transcended illusion and reality. 1585
A fragment could not bear the presence of a Profound Immortal. Zi Kan concluded that extending even her cultivation, consciousness, or physical body into the shattered realm would make it collapse; she instead sent a weakened water-droplet clone to investigate. 1588

Following the collapse of Jianmu, cultivators who reached sufficient strength were required to enter through an Immortal Realm-established gate rather than ascend independently.
