Power Progression

Stage / Realm / Level Chapter Notes
Initial physical enhancements 182 Has purchased modest physical-attribute increases after her first Resident Evil scenario. These allow her to handle an unlimited-ammunition Desert Eagle, but she remains an inexperienced fighter.
Perfect T Virus enhancement 182 Richard modifies her using a virus-based enhancement available within the Resident Evil world. It improves her physical attributes and provides a foundation for awakening Telekinesis and opening the Gene Lock.
First intensive training 182 Experiences approximately one year inside Richard’s illusion, studying spiritual-power meditation, psychic applications, Telekinesis, swordsmanship, and simulated cultivation of the Old Farmer Art.
First-stage Gene Lock 183 Opens the first stage while adapting to her enhanced body. Repeated practice largely reduces its painful backlash, though combat use still causes exhaustion.
B-rank Pureblood Three-Eyed Clan bloodline 187 Purchases the bloodline for 6,000 Reward Points. Mental Power rises from 301 to 886, and her existing psychokinesis strengthens. A third eye can further amplify her psychic abilities.
Double-B-rank psychokinesis 187 Purchases a separate skill upgrade, allowing her to lift objects weighing several tons.
Advanced psychic and weapon training 188 189 Completes another two subjective years of illusion training in psychic techniques, Telekinesis applications, and use of Richard’s imitation Yan Shen Armament, followed by practice during her fifty-day stay. No second-stage Gene Lock breakthrough is documented.

Background / History

Joining the Chat Group

Zhan Lan encounters the Chat Group shortly after clearing her first Resident Evil scenario. Frightened by Lin Feng’s knowledge of her circumstances, she initially accuses him of bringing her to God Space and demands to return to the Real World. He denies responsibility and tells her that she has already died there. After calming down, she accepts the group’s help 179.

Lin Feng identifies her world as Infinite Terror and explains the Gene Lock, God Space, and the danger posed by Zhang Jie’s psychic abilities. Richard offers assistance, but she must first return to Resident Evil so he can enter that world. Desperate to become stronger, she immediately purchases ten days of return time 181.

Training and Clearing The Hive

Back in The Hive, Zhan Lan nearly dies to a Licker before Richard arrives. He rescues her, grants her a perfect T Virus enhancement, supplies weapons and 10,000 Chat Group points, and trains her through a time-stretched illusion. Before leaving, he erases traces of his intervention and leaves a locally established Clone to accompany her 182.

With the Clone’s guidance, she adapts to her new body, opens the first-stage Gene Lock, and gains practical experience against zombies and Lickers. Their expedition continues through Nemesis encounters, a giant zombified snake, and a deeper laboratory containing stronger mutations. Richard disables Wesker, allowing Zhan Lan to finish him and receive the rewards 183 184 185.

Bloodline Exchange and Return to the Team

Zhan Lan returns with 21,356 Reward Points and enough side quests to combine into one A-rank, two B-rank, two C-rank, and one D-rank side quest. She spends much of this wealth on the Three-Eyed Clan bloodline, double-B-rank psychokinesis, storage equipment, and weapons, then purchases fifty more days in Resident Evil for further instruction 187.

After training with Richard’s Clone, she returns to God Space carrying a stocked Space Ring. Her silver-haired appearance initially causes Li Xiaoyi and Zheng Zha to mistake her for a created human. She explains her bloodline exchange and return to The Hive without revealing Richard’s involvement or her separate Telekinesis upgrade. She subsequently defeats Zheng Zha in both ranged and close-combat sparring 189 190.

Alien Mission

Her extensive point farming leads the Chief God to sharply increase the next mission’s difficulty. The Nostromo becomes a vessel over two kilometers long, populated by numerous Aliens, mutants, multiple Queens, and a Newborn. Zhan Lan provides psychic reconnaissance and distributes weapons, but discovers that Alien secretions can block her scans 209.

After Chu Xuan warns that her Vessel King could breach the hull, she puts it away and switches to the Imitation Soaring Shuttle. The team eventually completes the mission after a bitter struggle. Only five of the twenty participants return to God Space; Zhan Lan survives, while Li Xiaoyi dies 209 210 211.

Appearance

  • Original appearance: A curvaceous woman who wears glasses 182.
  • After the Three-Eyed Clan exchange: Silver hair, silver pupils, and a silver vertical third eye between her brows. The eye normally remains closed and opens in battle to amplify her psychic power 187 188.
  • Changed bearing: Her bloodline enhancement gives her a colder, more imposing presence; the transformation is striking enough that teammates fail to recognize her immediately 187 189.

Personality

Zhan Lan is initially fearful rather than naturally daring. She panics when threatened by a Licker and later privately acknowledges that she would not have returned to Resident Evil without a powerful supporter. Her willingness to fight develops through preparation, training, and the realization that avoiding every danger will not keep her alive in God Space 182 184 189.

She is quick to act once given a workable plan. She immediately purchases return time when Richard offers help, follows a development path suited to her psychic talent, and conserves resources by learning techniques rather than buying every skill from the Chief God. She also stops farming points when she judges that further gains could make future missions unmanageably dangerous 181 187 188.

Zhan Lan values cooperation but becomes increasingly selective about whom she helps. She offers her teammates enhancement opportunities, shares weapons, and pushes Zheng Zha to take his growth seriously. By the Alien mission, however, she no longer tries to force departing newcomers to accept protection 189 190 209.

Abilities & Skills

First-Stage Gene Lock

Improves her ability to use her body through heightened combat instincts rather than a dramatic increase in raw strength 183 185.

  • Sharpens timing, environmental awareness, and danger perception.
  • Enables precise evasions and attacks against vulnerable points, demonstrated against the Nemesis and Zombie Giant Snake 184 185.
  • Initially causes severe pain after release; repeated activation reduces the backlash, but exhaustion remains 183 184.
  • Remains a bottleneck: Richard explains that first-stage control cannot fully exploit B-rank abilities, and she postpones A-rank exchanges until reaching the second stage 188.

T Virus Enhancement

Richard’s perfect enhancement increases her physical capabilities while remaining compatible with other bloodlines 182 187.

  • Raises vitality, reaction speed, muscle strength, immunity, and Mental Power 187.
  • Supports her development of Telekinesis and the Gene Lock 182 183.
  • Combines with the Three-Eyed Clan bloodline without a bloodline conflict 187.

Three-Eyed Clan Bloodline

A B-rank psychic-oriented bloodline that greatly increases Mental Power 187.

  • Raises her recorded Mental Power from 301 to 886.
  • Strengthens her previously awakened psychokinesis.
  • Provides a third eye that further amplifies Mental Power and psychokinesis when opened.
  • Offers comparatively modest physical enhancement; much of her physical foundation comes from the T Virus instead 187 190.

Telekinesis

Her double-B-rank upgrade can lift several tons and supports both ranged attacks and close combat 187 190.

  • Controls more than a thousand flying blades through the imitation Yan Shen Armament 190.
  • Supports a staff too heavy for her to wield properly through physical strength alone 190.
  • Can suspend the Vessel King beside her while she carries other weapons 209.
  • Overwhelms Zheng Zha before he can evade her flying swords, then assists the staff strike that defeats him in their second exchange 190.

Psychic Techniques

Richard teaches her spiritual-power applications directly, avoiding the substantial cost of purchasing a full psychic skill set 187 188.

  • Mental scanning: Surveys the Nostromo and detects over a hundred active Aliens 209.
  • Psychic linking: Shares reconnaissance information directly with teammates and temporary allies 209.
  • Additional instruction: Spiritual-power control, spiritual-power lashing, and Psychic Shockwave 188.
  • Limit: Alien secretions create three psychic blind spots aboard the ship, preventing complete reconnaissance 209.

Swordsmanship and Close Combat

Her illusion training provides combat memories that she progressively adapts to real physical conditions 182 184.

  • Dispatches ordinary zombies with accurate thrusts through the brain 183.
  • Defeats Lickers through evasive movement and targeted sword strikes 184.
  • Uses staff techniques reinforced by Telekinesis to avoid the usual close-range vulnerability of a psychic specialist 188 190.

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Richard-forged longsword and spiral spikes — Durable weapons made from materials native to Resident Evil. Her original sword remains undamaged after piercing the Zombie Giant Snake’s skull 182 185.
  • Spirit-slaying sword — Crafted by Richard’s Clone with miniature talisman formations. Its effectiveness is comparable to a B-rank magical legendary weapon against spirits and a C-rank weapon against other enemies 188.
  • Imitation Yan Shen Armament — A staff over two meters long that separates into more than a thousand small swords. Its design includes combinations of eighty-one magical swords and a higher form of nine swords, with formations for each configuration 188 190.
  • Imitation Soaring Shuttle — A telekinetic weapon she takes out after shelving the Vessel King aboard the Nostromo 210.
  • Vessel King — A C-rank unlimited-ammunition, six-barreled electromagnetic pulse gun with a stated firing rate of 30,000 rounds per minute and range of 70,000 meters. Intended for clearing weaker enemies; ineffective against incorporeal targets and unsafe to fire aboard the Nostromo because it could breach the hull 187 188 209.
  • Space Ring — Made by Richard’s Clone and stocked with daily necessities, medical supplies, vehicles, firearms, weapons, and several nuclear bombs 189.
  • Storage bag — An earlier fifteen-cubic-meter purchase costing one C-rank side quest and 1,500 Reward Points 187.
  • Spirit bullets, Taoist talismans, and Seven-Star Sword materials — Purchased as anti-spirit resources and samples for Richard’s crafting research 187 188.
  • Unlimited-ammunition Desert Eagle — Her early handgun, purchased for 100 Reward Points on Zhang Jie’s recommendation. She later gives it to Richard’s Clone 182 185.

Relationships

  • Richard — Benefactor and teacher whom she addresses as “Boss.” Rescues and enhances her, plans her development, and provides training, points, and equipment 182 189.
  • Richard’s Clone — Companion and continuing instructor in Resident Evil. Helps her earn rewards, crafts specialized equipment, and teaches her psychic combat techniques 183 185 188.
  • Lin Feng — Identifies her world and explains her circumstances, the Gene Lock, and Zhang Jie’s abilities; helps establish her route toward becoming stronger 179 181.
  • Zheng Zha — Teammate she tries to motivate through decisive sparring defeats. She pays for healing after breaking his ribs with a staff strike, but remains frustrated by his impulsiveness in the next mission 190 210.
  • Zhang Jie — Veteran teammate whose concealed power she learns about through the Chat Group. Her sudden growth makes him suspect that she has opened the Gene Lock and may trigger a Captain Examination 181 190.
  • Li Xiaoyi — Teammate offered a chance to use the T Virus. He declines the risk and later dies during the Alien mission 189 190 211.
  • Chu Xuan — New teammate who recognizes the danger of using the Vessel King inside a spaceship. She accepts his warning and changes weapons 209 210.
