"I cannot call upon them-"
Grand Zen Sacred Buddha answered truthfully.
"Though you touched the Buddha Path and exposed the existence of the Three Buddhas, don't dream of entering the Buddha Path to follow them."
Liu Chengfeng sneered.
"Amitabha, Amitabha. Benefactor, you are the one who saw through the entire Buddha Path at a glance. You have an affinity with my Buddha, and all the more reason to enter our Buddha Path..."
Grand Zen Sacred Buddha exclaimed in wonder.
"Enough. Stop spinning tales. Your time is up. I'll send you on your way."
Liu Chengfeng interrupted Grand Zen Sacred Buddha.
"My Buddha is merciful. Benefactor, I have entered the Buddha Path and attained deathlessness..."
Grand Zen Sacred Buddha could not help stubbornly insisting, his beak still hard even as a dead duck. Having entered the Buddha Path and rooted himself in eternity, he believed himself undying and indestructible.
Even if Liu Chengfeng had millions upon millions of ways to torment him, he could not kill him.
"Are you sure you're undying and indestructible?"
Liu Chengfeng looked at him, wanting to laugh.
"This humble monk has entered the Buddha Path and taken root within it. But the Buddha Path is illusory and formless. To kill this humble monk, you must first find the Buddha Path and uproot it entirely-"
Grand Zen Sacred Buddha's understanding was indeed profound. He had glimpsed some of the Buddha Path's mysteries.
Precisely because of this, he believed the Buddha Path had been born in eternity, at the beginning of heaven and earth, at the origin of all things.
Yet it was formless. As long as he bound himself to the Buddha Path, he would not die unless the Buddha Path perished.
