Background

Ao is a transmigrator who awoke in the body of an Uchiha Academy graduate after the Nine-Tails Incident. The body’s original owner had died in a riot, leaving Ao in a clan already facing political suppression and widespread suspicion from Konoha. 1

Although publicly regarded as an untalented Uchiha with mediocre Academy scores, Ao possessed advanced biological knowledge and approached Orochimaru to become his research assistant. He identified blood-type compatibility as the flaw in Orochimaru’s Hashirama Cell implantation experiments, earning Orochimaru’s attention despite his initial lack of practical shinobi skill. 1 3

Ao sought out Orochimaru shortly after transmigrating, using his biotechnology knowledge to earn a place in the laboratory. The Uchiha elders interrogated him over this connection, but Orochimaru intervened and declared Ao his disciple. 1 6 7

As Konoha’s distrust of the Uchiha worsened, Ao concluded that the clan had no future within the village. He left his family money, met Orochimaru at the Valley of the End, passed a final test, and became an A-Rank missing-nin. 13 15
