Background / History

Jing Tian worked at Yong'an Pawnshop in Yu Zhou City. His life changed when his jade pendant magnetically drew him into Tang Xuejian; their pendants then merged, and their first meeting immediately devolved into an argument. Su Yu separated them and identified the pendants as the cause. 173

He quickly befriended Su Yu, who introduced him to Tang Xuejian after she accidentally broke a family relic. Jing Tian confidently offered to create an identical replacement, claiming that no one surpassed his skill at making porcelain replicas. 174

While waiting for a meteor shower in hopes of finding treasure, Jing Tian and Tang Xuejian were attacked by Poisoned People. Although initially frightened, he refused to abandon the investigation and joined Xu Changqing and Su Yu in tracing the incident. 175

Personality

Jing Tian is opportunistic, boastful, and fond of easy money. He visits a casino during an active investigation, gambles enthusiastically, and treats the possibility of falling treasure from a meteor shower as a serious motivation. 175 178 179

His bravado often masks genuine fear. He panics around Poisoned People, clings to stronger companions for safety, and initially refuses dangerous tasks; however, he repeatedly chooses not to flee when others need help. 175 176 183 184

He is also loyal and quick-thinking. He carries the gravely injured Xu Changqing toward Shu Mountain until he collapses from exhaustion, accepts Qing Wei’s mission despite doubting himself, and later deceives the Evil Sword Immortal by posing as Fei Peng. 184 191

After surviving the Poisoned People attack, Jing Tian joins Su Yu, Tang Xuejian, Xu Changqing, Meng Qi, and Wolf Lord in investigating the outbreak. He accompanies the group to the casino and later helps uncover the underground facility connected to the incident. 175 178 180

Chong Lou’s Pursuit

Demon Lord Chong Lou abducts Jing Tian and insists that he is Fei Peng. Jing Tian tries to escape using the Demon Sword, then refuses to flee after Xu Changqing is injured protecting him. Meng Qi’s Sound Blade allows the group to escape. 183

Spirit Bead Mission

At Shu Mountain, Qing Wei assigns Jing Tian the task of delivering a box to the God Realm and finding the Five Spirit Beads. Jing Tian accepts only after Xu Changqing is designated as his protector, while Su Yu agrees to accompany the party. 184 185

Anning Village Investigation

At Anning Village, Jing Tian begins learning the Shu Mountain Mind Method and basic swordplay from Xu Changqing. He also participates in investigating deaths caused by drained essence, proposing that he infiltrate Wan Yuzhi’s home. 187 188

Evil Sword Immortal Crisis

When the Evil Sword Immortal threatens Shu Mountain, Jing Tian uses a staged impersonation of Fei Peng to make the enemy retreat. He later supports Xu Changqing’s effort to save Qing'er and urges the group to seek Su Yu’s help. 191 192

Departure from Yu Zhou City

After the crisis concludes, Su Yu buys Yong'an Pawnshop and gives Jing Tian and Mao Mao substantial wealth in space rings, enough to make them among the richest people in the Human Realm. 193
