Background / History

Su Yu was originally a carefree hiker with no attachments. Caught in a rainstorm and landslide on Yun Mountain, he was rescued by the Void Dominator and brought to the Void Realm. There, he accepted the mandate to become the Myriad Realms Dominator against an approaching catastrophe, receiving Dominion Power, interworld travel, Ya Er, and the Infinity Gauntlet. Upon returning, he used the Time Stone to reverse the landslide’s damage. 1 2

His first major journey took him to Douluo Continent, where he entered the world as an infant and was taken in by Xiao Wu’s mother. He enrolled at Notting College alongside Xiao Wu, created the Dragongallbladder Bright Silver Spear as his Martial Soul, and became Yu Xiaogang’s second disciple after Tang San. 2 5

At Shrek Academy, Su Yu became known as the Silver Dragon Emperor. He routinely overwhelmed opponents without needing to release his Martial Soul, healed Xiao Wu after Zhao Wuji injured her, and later served as a teacher rather than a student due to the disparity in strength. 9 11 20 24

Su Yu discovered the Cosmos Dao Flower at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well and accelerated its transformation with the Time Stone. The flower became Su Yiyi, whom Su Yu accepted as his biological daughter. He later learned that prematurely accelerating her growth left her permanently at the physical and mental age of three, a consequence for which he feels responsible. 26 27 28

His relationship with Lin Rou ended after she took his spear under duress from Spirit Hall. Although Su Yu learned that her parents had been used to coerce her, he considered the betrayal a violation of his personal boundary. He later arranged for Lin Rou to begin anew under Dugu Bo after her memories and others’ memories of the incident were altered. 29 32 34

After the God Realm’s enforcers demanded that he leave Douluo Continent, Su Yu traveled to the Journey to the West world. Patriarch Bodhi accepted him as his eldest disciple, made him study the Hundred Schools of Thought, Buddhism, and Taoism for a century, and taught him the Thirty-Six Transformations of Heavenly Gang, Seventy-Two Transformations of Earthly Evil, and Fight Heaven Battle Art. 41 44 45 46

Su Yu became a general at the Immortal Realm border, where he led soldiers against the Demon Clan. After celestial officials abandoned his wounded troops outside a sealed city, he broke through the barrier, eliminated the deserters with the Infinity Gauntlet, and formed the three-thousand-strong Silver Dragon Army under Cang Nan. 49 54 55

He later established the Raincoat World, created additional worlds, and traveled through worlds including Fox Spirit Matchmaker, Super God Academy, Battle Through the Heavens, Immortal Sword Three, and Legend of the Condor Heroes. Across these worlds, he acted as a teacher, guardian, benefactor, and occasional disruptor of established fate. 83 103 116 164 166 218

At the end of the catastrophe, Su Yu used World Power to forge chains around a giant hand threatening the Myriad Realms, anchoring it against the domain wall as a permanent barrier against the firmament. 237

Personality

Su Yu is casual, mischievous, and openly irreverent toward authority. He sleeps through training, flirts during formal Soul Battles, and dismisses the Seagod despite standing on Seagod Island. 11 14 40

Despite this relaxed manner, he is intensely protective of those he considers family. He healed Xiao Wu immediately after she was injured, threatened Dugu Bo over Tang San’s safety, and considers family betrayal more serious than personal offense. 9 24 32

He is capable of severe ruthlessness when faced with betrayal or cruelty. After border officials trapped his soldiers outside their own city, he erased the deserters and declared their abandonment of comrades deserving of death. He nevertheless healed his surviving soldiers and earned their loyalty through both power and care. 54 55

Su Yu values approachable strength over arrogance. After recognizing that his overwhelming power had affected his mindset, he resolved to rely only on the guqin in his next world to recover his original heart and pursue his belief that all living beings are equal. 113 165
