Nagami begins as a Class D student noted for his physical conditioning, sharp observation, and hostility toward classmates he considers intolerable. He turns down Hirata’s request to help lead a study session because he fears prolonged interaction with the “Three Idiots” would end with them in the infirmary. 3

His reputation grows after he intimidates Class A students, mediates Class C’s confrontation with Ichinose, and violently stops Yamauchi, Ike, and Sudo’s plan to secretly film girls in the changing room. Nagami saves the evidence from their messages, defeats the group, and leaves Ayanokoji and Horikita to arrange a cover story. 2 5 8
