The Noble House students by the windows hurriedly opened them, letting the stench drift away.
"My goodness, dear Gaude, what on earth did you put in there!"
The scream from a student in front of Victor was drowned out by the roar of the crowd.
No one cared who had caused the explosion.
They only knew that making a scene was genuinely fun.
When the classroom had quieted down a little, Dark shook his head, picked up his pen, and recorded the proportions of the materials he had used in this experiment, intending to adjust them later.
There wasn't enough time left to conduct another experiment.
He felt that he had handled the overall process fairly well. The main thing he needed to improve was the details.
However, the deviation in the failed card in his hand was greater than it appeared on the surface.
That was because the Transform extracted from the failed card hadn't copied any data. It had merely changed shape—and even that transformation was incomplete.
He'd originally thought Ditto had only one Finishing Move, Transform, and that if the extraction succeeded, that was what he would get. He hadn't expected—
"Maybe the problem was with how I thought about it."
Recalling what he'd said when he asked Ditto to remember how it felt to Transform, Dark pondered.
"But these are all minor issues."
"This experiment has basically confirmed that having a Magic Spirit recall a Finishing Move helps with creating a Finisher Card."
"If I apply that reasoning more broadly, does it mean that having a Magic Spirit recall a Finishing Move it learned in its mind, but that isn't on its status panel, will let me extract a Finishing Move that isn't on the panel?"
"That's a great direction for an experiment!"
Dark quickly jotted
