Background / History
Teng Qingshan was once one of the world’s strongest assassins. In his second life, he spent nearly five centuries on the Nine Provinces Continent, rising from an ordinary village boy to a Supreme Powerhouse through Xingyi Fist and the path of Life and Death. Having become invincible there, he departed through a black hole while carrying the Nine Provinces Cauldron, intending to return to Earth and uncover its secrets. 1 6 16
His return did not preserve his former strength. After arriving in a new body, he retained only his consciousness; most of his higher martial insights were incompatible with the new world’s rules. He nevertheless resolved to rebuild his strength, relying on the foundational realms of Xingyi Fist, his powerful soul, and the Little Cauldron’s fragmented visions of the future. 2 4
The Little Cauldron warned him of the January 2015 Double R Crisis and the Beast Tides that would follow. Teng responded by withdrawing from school, training in Nanshan Forest Park, developing methods suited to Cosmic Energy and Genetic Origin Energy, and preparing humanity through the promotion of Xingyi Fist. 2 3 13
His pursuit of strength is also driven by loss. He seeks a realm capable of reversing time and resurrecting Little Cat, Zhuge Qing, and other loved ones who died in his previous lives. 16 78
Appearance
Teng Qingshan is a tall, youthful-looking man whose early appearance causes Lu Hong to mistake him for someone of a similar age despite his manner and martial insight. After adapting to his new body, his height reaches approximately 1.9 meters. 9 12
- Often carries a long spear in a narrow backpack during his early training. 16
- Commonly appears in white battle attire during the Genius Tournament. 153
- Is described by opponents as a cold, stern youth when fighting. 152 153
- Later uses altered appearance and build, including a flame mark between his brows, while entering the First Outer-Region Battlefield. 221
Personality
Teng Qingshan is exceptionally confident in his ability to reclaim and exceed his former power, but this confidence is rooted in disciplined cultivation rather than complacency. After losing nearly everything upon transmigrating, he immediately adapts his old knowledge to the new world and builds a new path step by step. 2 4 14
His nature is decisive and ruthless when necessary, shaped by his history as an assassin and the battles of his previous life. He does not extend kindness indiscriminately, and he eliminates enemies who threaten those under his protection. 11 215
Despite this severity, he is deeply protective of his family, disciples, and China’s civilian population. He founds the Xingyi Sect to spread methods of self-strengthening, personally aids cities during Beast Tides, and invests heavily in the development of his disciples. 26 35 45 148
As a teacher, Teng recognizes talent quickly and provides direct, practical instruction. He expects effort and loyalty, but he also supports his disciples with manuals, weapons, resources, and cultivation guidance. 10 11 129 148

- Mastered all three major branches of the Space Law and made major progress in the Time Law during nearly five hundred years of seclusion. 228
- Employs Space Lockdown and Space Strangulation in Outer-Region Battlefield combat. 176 225
Soul Cultivation
The Little Cauldron and Teng Qingshan’s previous-life accumulation give him extraordinary soul strength and comprehension.
- His consciousness was nourished by Primordial Chaos Force for centuries before his return to Earth. 73
- Can absorb soul essence and true spirits to strengthen his soul and accelerate law comprehension. 197 215
- Reached soul strength comparable to an ordinary Immortal after absorbing enough battlefield souls at the World Lord stage. 226
- Created the Soul Seal technique’s slave soul seals and cultivated the Void Tower secret technique to its three-tier realm. 142
