"This—this is the Crown of Wutie?"
Ren carefully examined the crown inside the Spatial Ring with his Divine Sense. He froze for a moment, but quickly came to his senses and studied it closely.
The crown inside the Spatial Ring was gray all over and contained a powerful life force. At its center was a hollow for a core, with nine distinct circular sockets around the edge.
With his memories of Blue Star, Ren knew this was where the Red Diamond Crystal and the Nine Spirit Orbs belonged. Once someone obtained all three tokens, they could assemble the Crown of Life, summon the Supreme God of Life, and make a request of her.
In his memories of Blue Star, when Linley obtained the Crown of Wutie, it contained some life force, but only a tiny amount. Linley absorbed it, and it was gone at once. Compared to the other two tokens—which had saved Molder from death and allowed Bludi to go on a killing spree—the crown seemed rather unimpressive.
Ren therefore guessed that the crown had originally contained a great deal of life force. But that energy was consumable: absorb some, and there was less left. Many people in the Divine Planes had used it, and by the time it had little energy remaining, it had passed through the Spatial Turbulence and fallen into Linley's hands.
What Ren hadn't expected was that Alfred, Prefect of Liang'an, had once obtained the token. It had ended up falling into Ren's lap instead.
Ren had considered getting to the Supreme God Tokens first, but his memories of Blue Star only told him that the Nine Spirit Orbs eventually ended up in the hands of Molder, Tianshan Prefecture Lord. He didn't know when or how Molder had obtained them.
Bludi had found the Red Diamond Crystal by chance, but he might not have even come to Hell yet. Besides, no one knew where the crystal had been before Bludi found it. It might have been in the Spatial Turbulence, or in the hands of someone on Muya Continent.
Perhaps I can make plans for the Supreme God Tokens later. But for now...
Ren put away the Crown of Wutie and muttered to himself. For the time being, he pushed aside the idea of searching for the Supreme God Tokens.
Even if the Nine Spirit Orbs were currently in Molder's hands, Ren had just offended the Four Divine Beasts Sovereign. It wouldn't be wise to head to Blood Peak Continent right now.
As for the Red Diamond Crystal, even if it was on Muya Continent, searching the whole place would take a great deal of time with Ren's current strength—and could attract the attention of a Sovereign.
Ren had no choice but to abandon the idea of collecting the Supreme God Tokens for now and think about what to do next.
As a Paragon High-God, he had few avenues left for further progress. Paragons stood at the true peak of cultivation in the universe. A Sovereign's strength came from Willpower; in terms of the Mysteries of the Laws alone, even a Paragon surpassed them.
For Ren, there were only two ways to grow stronger now: become a Sovereign or undergo Soul Mutation. The latter could practically be ruled out. Ren had studied Soul Mutation for many years, and in the end had to admit that it came down to luck. Fate Overlord Oufu was known as a madman who had researched every sort of way to grow stronger, yet he had never undergone Soul Mutation.
"A Sovereign Spark?"
A glint flashed in Ren's eyes as he quickly considered what to do next. His first thought was, of course, the Yulan Plane.
Sovereign Sparks were the seventy-seven greatest opportunities in the universe, present from the very beginning of creation. Nothing else compared. Only those born at that time could obtain a Sovereign Spark and become a Sovereign. The number of Sovereigns never changed; a new Sovereign could arise only when one fell.
After the War of the Sovereigns, new life could at most become a Paragon High-God. Before a Sovereign, they were still just gods. For countless years, Paragons had acted as if they looked down on certain Sovereigns, thinking them lucky rather than deserving. But wasn't that just jealousy?
If a Paragon were to obtain a Sovereign Spark, they would refine it without hesitation. That was because it made them a Sovereign. Beirut had dared to snatch the spoils from the Radiant Overlord, risking a future in which he might never again leave the Yulan Plane, and had still gone all in. It was all because of the Sovereign Spark.
The Sovereigns of this era were all but fixed. The only chance Ren could recall of obtaining a Sovereign Spark was the battle between the Four Divine Beasts and the Radiant Overlord.
"Perhaps it's time to go take a look. The Yulan Continent."
Ren moved, leaving behind his Water and Fire Divine Clones. His true body and Wind Divine Clone flew toward the teleportation array.
A great deal had happened, and Ren didn't know whether the Sovereign Sparks of the Four Divine Beasts and the Radiant Overlord would still appear near the Yulan Continent. But there was no harm in trying.
Bifu Continent, Lan'er Canyon. A jade-green hall stood at the edge of a cliff, its every surface steeped in an ancient aura.
"Crash!"
The waters of the Star Fog Sea pounded endlessly against the shore. Now and then, waves reached the edge of the castle, but no matter how much time passed, the fortress on the cliff never changed in the slightest.
A vast, ancient-looking magic array stood at the center of the hall. More than a dozen soldiers in green robes were patrolling, looking bored.
"Third, could you stop messing with those Saint Realm newcomers all the time?" A middle-aged man who seemed to be a squad leader looked at a young man, his voice tinged with exasperation.
"Big Brother, I'm teaching them the rules of Hell. Saint Realm newcomers are cannon fodder in Hell. If they don't learn to keep a low profile, they won't survive a single day!" the young man replied righteously, his voice full of mockery.
"You..." The middle-aged man saw the young man's expression and gave up. They were only a few Saint Realm newcomers, after all. As Bifu Army guards watching over the teleportation array, they had that much leeway.
"Teaching" ignorant Saint Realm newcomers a lesson was a tradition among the Chief God Army. New recruits tended to enjoy it for quite a while.
But after enough time had passed, it grew tiresome. Eventually, even veterans like them lost interest.

"Those young folks really have boundless energy. Sigh! Who knows when I'll save up enough Inkstones?" The middle-aged man shook his head, then let out a faint sigh. Even as a Bifu Army squad leader, it would take him endless years to save enough for an apartment in the city.
"Whoosh!"
When the middle-aged man came back to himself, a black-haired young man had already landed in front of the teleportation array.
"What incredible speed! Is that... a Seven-Star Demon?" The middle-aged man's heart tightened, but he reacted at once, bowing and asking, "Sir, what can I do for you?"
"The Yulan Plane."
Ren took out a blood-red token radiating a Sovereign's aura and spoke.
"Yes, sir!"
The middle-aged man's pupils contracted sharply. He answered at once, then ordered the others to activate the teleportation array.
Ren said nothing more and walked straight into the array. A flash of light passed over the magic circle, and he vanished from sight.
"Phew! I never expected to meet a Sovereign Envoy. I wonder what a lord like him is going to do in a Material Plane? Never mind. It's not for me to ask." The middle-aged man let out a breath of relief and shook his head. As a proper member of the Bifu Army, he knew it was best not to pry into matters he had no business knowing.
