Background / History

Oufu is the Fate Overlord, an ancient Rule Overlord whose primary ambition is to break through the limits of the Magic Universe. He reached the Paragon level long ago and devoted countless years to researching a method to surpass it, eventually focusing on material-attack techniques when higher conventional realms appeared unattainable. 80 158

As a member of the Bula Clan, Oufu possesses an alternate counterpart, Augusta. Though they are fundamentally the same person, their personalities are opposites; they avoid examining each other's thoughts or memories unless necessary. This separation allows Oufu to pursue quiet research while Augusta acts more openly in the outside world. 83 92 147

Oufu is the ancestor of the Augusta Clan and the father of its patriarch, Han Jin. When Han Jin brings him intelligence that the Four Divine Beasts possess the Spirit Mist Snowflake, Oufu sees an opportunity to eliminate them and obtain their essence blood. He orders Han Jin to monitor the elemental planes for their movements and later permits Augusta to act, lending him a Supreme Artifact for soul defense. 83 84

After Ren kills the Four Divine Beasts and reveals himself as a Dual-Element Paragon, Oufu openly admires his talent and takes a strong interest in both Ren's strength and techniques. 93

Uterede later seeks Oufu's cooperation in an assault on Ren, offering the principles behind Space-Time Chaos as the stakes of a future duel. Oufu agrees to delay Thanatos and Vivian, chiefly because the offer may advance his own research. During Ren and Uterede's battle, seeing Ren's four-element formation gives Oufu the final insight needed to complete Transcending Samsara. 140 145 146

After Linley kills Augusta, Oufu attacks Linley in anger. Ren intervenes with a remotely activated defensive magic array, blocking Transcending Samsara. Realizing Ren's formation requires multiple Divine Clones—a capability the Bula Clan cannot naturally replicate—Oufu withdraws to seek another path toward transcending the world. 156 157

When Ren and Linley leave the Magic Universe, Oufu becomes its strongest remaining Overgod. Rather than accepting that position, he remains determined to research a way beyond the universe, even if doing so risks destruction. 158
