Appearance
- Hair and complexion: Fair skin, long golden hair, and golden eyebrows 83 89.
- Clothing: Loose white robes decorated with distinctive golden patterns 83 89.
- Aura: Frequently radiates sun-like golden or white light; his presence exerts pressure even when he deliberately emits no aura 83 88 154.
Personality
Augusta is arrogant, domineering, and intensely concerned with status. He treats the Four Divine Beasts as his rightful prey and initially orders the newly ascended Ren aside without considering him a serious opponent. His contempt can turn into genuine admiration: after discovering Ren’s dual-element Paragon achievement, he acknowledges its difficulty, but still intends to kill him 90.
He prefers luxury to research. His island contains elaborate gardens, habitats for Magic Beasts, and an almost entirely female household apart from the Divine Angels. He particularly enjoys seeing visiting Sovereigns become astonished by his extravagant lifestyle, which sharply contrasts with Oufu’s austere habits 84.
His pride is accompanied by calculated opportunism. He waits for Diya and the Four Divine Beasts to weaken one another before attacking, later exaggerates Ren’s strength to draw the Rule Overlords’ attention, and uses the Sovereign Covenant as a pretext to pursue Linley. Public humiliation provokes him especially strongly 88 93 155.
Abilities & Skills
Light Sovereign Power
Augusta uses Light Sovereign Power for attacks, movement, defense, and restraint.
- Condenses large sword, spear, and blade projections through his weapon 90 91.
- Forms holy-light defenses and protective golden halos around his body 91 155.
- Creates ribbons of Sovereign Power capable of binding the Four Divine Beasts 91.
- Travels as a golden or white streak of light and tears open space to enter the Spatial Turbulence 85 91.
- Reconnects his severed lower body during his battle with Linley 155 156.
Additional Willpower
As Oufu’s Sovereign clone, Augusta possesses an extra portion of Willpower beyond his apparent rank.
- Conceals this advantage, allowing outsiders to believe his strength is comparable to Thunder Overlord Hullei’s 91.
- Gains a substantial increase in speed and attack power when he uses it openly 91.
- Believes himself invincible beneath the Rule Overlords until Ren’s Water Domain defeats him 91.
- Remains a non-Paragon despite Oufu’s long-running efforts to help him reach Light Paragon 90 155.
Transcending Samsara
Augusta adapts Oufu’s ultimate technique using a Compressed Magic Array, compensating for his inability to fully comprehend and execute the original version.
- Produces four differently colored sword shadows that combine into a condensed attack 155.
- Uses a version weaker than Oufu’s, but powerful enough to severely wound Linley 155 156.
- Repeats the attack after restoring his body 156.
- Loses the advantage once Linley gains a Wind Sovereign clone and three-element fused Sovereign Power 156.
Ambush and Political Manipulation
- Orders Han Jin to monitor Four Divine Beasts Clan activity across the Earth, Wind, Water, and Fire planes 83.
- Watches Diya’s battle from the Spatial Turbulence and strikes only after Diya is weakened 88.
- Publicly emphasizes Ren’s potential to make other Overlords wary of him 93.
- Attempts to redefine Linley’s rank according to combat strength to justify punishment under the Sovereign Covenant 155.
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Supreme Fate God Sword — Offensive Supreme Artifact wielded with Light Sovereign Power despite its mismatched attribute. It destroys both of Diya’s Sovereign Artifact spears and breaks the Four Divine Beasts’ defensive array 88 91.
- Soul-defense Supreme Artifact ring — Obtained from Oufu for the hunt. It renders the Four Divine Beasts’ combined soul attack ineffective, leaving Augusta entirely unharmed 88 89.
History
Augusta Clan and Oufu
Augusta is the ancestor of the Augusta Clan and Han Jin’s father. His clan competes with the Four Divine Beasts Clan for recognition as the strongest clan in the divine planes. An earlier confrontation in the Radiant Divine Realm nearly escalates into an Asura war before the Four Divine Beasts Clan withdraws; its envoys suspect an agreement between their Sovereigns and the Radiant Overlord 28 40 83.
His apparent friendship with Fate Overlord Oufu conceals a more important truth: Augusta is Oufu’s divine clone, and the two are the same person. Because their personalities are opposed, they agree not to inspect one another’s thoughts unless necessary and instead meet in person to discuss matters 83 90.
Hunt for the Four Divine Beasts
Han Jin brings Augusta a crystal projection describing the Four Divine Beasts’ possession of a Spirit Mist Snowflake and an alleged plan to kill him. Augusta doubts that they truly intend to target him, but sees an opportunity to obtain their essence blood. He arranges surveillance and seeks Oufu’s assistance while avoiding a direct confrontation with Uterede in Hell 83 84.
Ten thousand years later, he follows the Four Divine Beasts to the Wind Divine Plane. After secretly observing their fight with Diya, Augusta ambushes the injured Wind Overlord, shatters his spears, and severs an arm. He then attacks the Four Divine Beasts, breaks their defensive formation, and survives their second combined Innate Divine Ability through his soul-defense Supreme Artifact 85 88 89.
Defeat by Ren
Augusta pursues the fleeing Four Divine Beasts until Ren intercepts them in a newly created Water Divine Plane. He initially dismisses Ren as a Wind Paragon whose new Water Sovereign clone should offer little resistance. Their first exchange instead reveals that Ren has also reached Water Paragon 89 90.
Even Augusta’s concealed Willpower fails to injure Ren decisively. Both combatants attempt to seize the Four Divine Beasts while preventing the other from killing them. Ren ultimately completes his Water Domain, blasts Augusta hundreds of millions of miles away, and kills all four beasts before Augusta returns 91.
At the subsequent Sovereign gathering, Augusta corrects Diya’s assumption that he killed the beasts. He identifies Ren as their killer and stresses Ren’s dual-element Paragon status, hundredfold ultimate technique, and potential for further Sovereign clones, hoping to redirect the Rule Overlords’ scrutiny toward him 92 93.
Tenth Planar War
After Oufu’s identity and overwhelming strength become public, Augusta enjoys the elevated status that accompanies their connection. He later oversees the Heavenly Realm’s attempt to complete a ten-war winning streak, deploying Twelve-Winged Angels while Hell lacks its former Destruction Chief Sovereign 148 149.
Linley’s intervention overturns the angel forces’ advantage and prevents Oufu from receiving another portion of Willpower. Augusta remembers this defeat and develops a lasting hostility toward Linley 149 154.
Final Battle with Linley
While visiting Hell after Uterede’s death, Augusta witnesses Linley kill Bote’er and Manlu and acquire another Sovereign clone. He accuses Linley of violating the Sovereign agreement, dismisses his self-defense argument, and demands that he submit to judgment 154 155.
Linley refuses and severs Augusta’s lower body during their battle. Humiliated before the arriving Sovereigns, Augusta unleashes his adapted Transcending Samsara and severely wounds him. Linley then kills Theresia, gains a Wind Sovereign clone, and strengthens himself with additional Willpower and three-element fused Sovereign Power. His counterattack leads to Augusta’s death and provokes Oufu’s wrath 155 156.
Relationships

- Han Jin / Hankin Augusta — Son and Augusta Clan patriarch. Reports intelligence and carries out Augusta’s surveillance orders while maintaining strict deference 83.
- Clementine — Light Paragon serving as Augusta’s envoy 42.
- Ren — Rival who defeats his attempt to claim the Four Divine Beasts. Augusta admires Ren’s cultivation achievement while trying to turn other Overlords’ attention against him 90 91 93.
- Four Divine Beasts Sovereigns — Targets whose essence blood Augusta seeks. He dismissively calls them “worms” and hunts them once they leave Hell 83 85 88 89.
- Diya — Wind Overlord ambushed by Augusta. Diya later alerts the Rule Overlords in an attempt to create trouble for him 88 91 92.
- Linley — Enemy blamed for disrupting the Heavenly Realm’s winning streak; ultimately kills Augusta after resisting his attempted judgment 154 155 156.
- Uterede — Destruction Chief Sovereign whose territory initially deters Augusta’s hunt. After Uterede dies, Augusta visits Hell partly for the satisfaction of asserting himself in his former rival’s domain 83 84 154.
