Personality

Di Tian is protective of promising Soul Beasts but governs through intimidation and clear boundaries. He routinely pressures newly emerged Fierce Beasts to establish his authority. The other Fierce Beasts understand that he tolerates considerable misconduct when an individual remains useful, has potential, and does not cross his bottom line 9. His restraint is practical rather than indiscriminate: he permits regulated human hunting in the forest’s outskirts but violently retaliates against mass slaughter 4.

His loyalty to the Dragon Clan and the Soul Beast race outweighs personal ambition. He is willing to surrender the Beast God position, abandon his physical body, and endure dangerous changes if Jiang Heng will protect their race and pursue an end to the prohibition on Soul Beast godhood 126 192 208. That loyalty also has a ruthless side: he sacrifices Xiong Jun to remove a potential threat to Jiang Heng’s succession 132.

Jiang Heng gradually draws him away from passive protection toward technological adaptation and control of the entire planet 10 113. Di Tian recognizes his own limitations in planning and increasingly relies on Jiang Heng’s judgment 80. His trust is genuine, but Jiang Heng exploits it to isolate the Silver Dragon King while Di Tian is incapacitated 233 234.

Abilities & Skills

Ultimate Darkness

  • Possesses an ultimate darkness attribute, which forms the basis of his self-created Black Dragon World Annihilation 70.
  • Releases dark energy that erodes soul power; combined with dragon might, it suppresses the Fierce Beasts gathered before him 70.

Dual Soul Cores — Sun and Moon Radiance

  • Uses the synergy between two Soul Cores to produce a black-sun phenomenon 70.
  • Distorts space and restrains surrounding living beings 70.

Dragon God Claw

  • A divine skill personally taught to him by the Dragon God 214.
  • Demonstrates and later teaches it to Jiang Heng as part of his mentorship 48 141 144.
  • Shatters the Frost Dragon’s Martial Soul Avatar during the Far North confrontation 174.
  • Cannot initially unleash its full potential because he lacks divine power and the Dragon God’s unyielding mindset; his submission to the Silver Dragon King is identified as another limitation 214.
  • Is astonished when Jiang Heng uses it to tear through heavenly lightning and space with power beyond Di Tian’s own peak performance 215.

Dragon God Rage

  • Develops this technique from Jiang Heng’s Star Breaker, incorporating dragon bloodline talents and willpower 47.
  • Demonstrates the prototype through a claw strike, helping Jiang Heng recognize the gap between human-derived techniques and attacks suited to a dragon’s innate abilities 47 48.

Spatial Manipulation

  • Transports Jiang Heng directly to the Lake of Life after rescuing him 1.
  • Travels through spatial channels and can locate Jiang Heng through the Black Dragon Reverse Scale 73 146.
  • Uses spatial suppression to prevent the Frost Dragon from escaping his attack 174.

Plane Authority

  • Gradually merges with the plane’s governing power to become its Plane Master 192 208 213.
  • Manipulates a portion of the laws to reduce suppression against Soul Beasts 213.
  • Jiang Heng proposes integrating Dragon Valley’s Dragon Bone into the Douluo plane to further strengthen him for war against the Abyss Plane 241.

Cultivation Guidance

  • Teaches Jiang Heng how a Fierce Beast can assume human form 9.
  • Explains the relationship between bloodline, physique, innate skills, willpower, and combat techniques 47 48.
  • Obtains the Evil Emperor’s spiritual-power insights and passes them to Jiang Heng 68 73.
  • Explains that a Fierce Beast’s cultivation age represents its potential to reach a stage, not an absolute measure of combat strength 160.

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Black Dragon Reverse Scale — A palm-sized scale shed after his 700,000-year tribulation and given to Jiang Heng. Its Heavenly Judgment power blocks God Realm sensing, while its masked aura conceals Jiang Heng’s Soul Beast identity from beings below demigod level. It can withstand Level 10 Soul Tool attacks, draw on Di Tian’s power for protection, and serve as a tracking and communication link 10 14 73.
  • Life Soul Tool — An unnamed life-bound Soul Tool that makes him substantially stronger. At its introduction, he is the only member of the Star Dou Great Forest’s Fierce Beast group stated to possess one 125.
  • Level 9 Soul Guidance Cannons — Obtains examples from the Sun Moon Empire’s armory after investigating human technology 10.

Background / History

Protector of the Star Dou Great Forest

Di Tian initially rescues the newly reincarnated Jiang Heng from two Titled Douluo associated with Shrek Academy. Rather than chase them, he takes the injured Golden Earth Dragon King to the Lake of Life and orders Bi Ji to heal him. He recognizes Jiang Heng’s unexpected survival of the 100,000-year tribulation and gives him an opportunity to develop further 1.

His relationship with Shrek is governed by an unwritten agreement: students may hunt in the outer forest, but must avoid the core, rare Soul Beasts, and extermination of entire populations. Xuan Zi violates these limits through indiscriminate slaughter. Di Tian defeats him, costing him an arm and soul bone and cracking his Soul Core; Xuan Zi escapes only by threatening to detonate that core 4.

Di Tian and the other Fierce Beasts previously consumed the Sky Dream Ice Silkworm’s million-year origin, although its spiritual origin remained available for Jiang Heng’s later ambush 5.

Adopting Soul Tool Technology

Di Tian witnesses Jiang Heng’s emergence as a Fierce Beast and recognizes the Taotie bloodline behind his rapid growth 8. Jiang Heng then wins his approval with a breathing technique that increases Soul Beast cultivation speed by roughly thirty to forty percent and demonstrates how a Level 8 Soul Tool lets a 50,000-year Golden Earth Dragon defeat an 80,000-year Terrorclaw Bear 9.

Alarmed by the implications, Di Tian personally visits the human world and the Sun Moon Empire. After seeing Level 9 weapons, he supports learning human technology and gives Jiang Heng his reverse scale for infiltration 10. He also supports rare-metal collection in the Star Dou Great Forest and Far North, offering to gather additional resources from the deep sea 16.

Jiang Heng’s successful use of a defensive Soul Tool against heavenly tribulation reinforces Di Tian’s support. He formally ranks Jiang Heng eighth among the eleven great Fierce Beasts and begins treating him as a potential successor 27 28 45.

Mentorship and Offensive Expansion

Di Tian ends Jiang Heng’s battle against Xiong Jun and Red King before either suffers damage to their foundations 46. He then approves Jiang Heng’s research requests, develops Dragon God Rage from Star Breaker, and guides him toward the Intentional Bombing Fist 47 48.

After coercing the Evil Emperor into sharing his spiritual insights, Di Tian offers Jiang Heng the Beast God position. Jiang Heng initially declines because his plans are unfinished 68 73. Influenced by Jiang Heng’s proposals, Di Tian subsequently leads the Fierce Beasts into the human world to seize suitable Immortal Herbs 74.

His attack on the Body Sect combines retaliation with resource recovery. Du Busi holds him off and threatens self-destruction; the reappearance of the Angel Temple gives Di Tian an opportunity to withdraw. Before leaving, he threatens to destroy the sect if it again slaughters 100,000-year Soul Beasts in the forest 79.

Challenging the Plane Consciousness

When the Plane Consciousness nearly lures the Auspicious Beast out of the forest, Di Tian warns it against further interference 80. He later agrees to Jiang Heng’s proposal that he become Plane Master to protect the Soul Beast race and accelerate the Silver Dragon King’s recovery 95 96.

Di Tian helps develop a two-part strategy involving Earth Veins and the plane’s Life Core. He recruits cooperation from the Evil Emperor and personally excavates Earth Veins in the deep sea 113 132. Jiang Heng formally accepts the Beast God role after promising to prevent the race’s extinction and work to lift the ban on Soul Beast godhood 126.

Despite reluctance to lose a powerful combatant, Di Tian supports removing Xiong Jun. He fears that once he merges with the Plane Consciousness, the rebellious bear could threaten Jiang Heng’s leadership. After Xiong Jun’s battle against human opponents, Di Tian delivers him injured and sealed to Jiang Heng 132 133.

Protecting the Auspicious Beast

During the God Realm’s suppression of Douluo Planet, Di Tian reveals the Silver Dragon King’s existence to Jiang Heng and continues training him in Dragon God Claw 141. He later agrees to accelerate the Auspicious Beast’s maturation despite the pain and risk to her foundation 144.

With assistance from the Silver Dragon King, Di Tian and Jiang Heng complete the evolution over half a year. Her influence expands across the entire Star Dou Great Forest, increasing the cultivation-speed benefit from twice the normal rate to five times or more 145.

He also answers the Evil Emperor’s plea for help against Bo Saixi and the Sky Azure Bull Python, driving them away and securing the Evil Emperor’s recognition of him as Beast God 146.

Abandoning His Body

Di Tian assists Jiang Heng and Starlight in suppressing the Golden Tree to strengthen the Undead Semi-Plane 157. Their broader plan includes severing the Far North from Douluo Planet; Di Tian attacks Zhu Zhuqing and the Frost Dragon when they investigate the region 164 174 175.

He remains an active combatant during preparations against Tang San and later brings Bo Saixi’s corpse to Jiang Heng 182 184. Eventually, he abandons his physical body to pursue control of the planet 192 208.

The Auspicious Beast mistakes his body’s modification by human Soul Masters for murder. Jiang Heng explains that this was Di Tian’s own choice, and Starlight lets her sense his surviving presence 208. By Jiang Heng’s subsequent tribulation, Di Tian has attained partial plane authority 213.

Abyss Conflict and Succession

Di Tian confronts the Abyss Holy Monarch and takes action that leaves him deeply asleep and recovering. Jiang Heng deliberately withholds available assistance to force this outcome, then uses Di Tian’s absence to attack the Silver Dragon King 233 234.

Awakened by Jiang Heng’s million-year tribulation, Di Tian senses a familiar aura on him but is too weak to investigate 240. Later, Jiang Heng tells him about Dragon Valley and the Dragon God Heart, offers a means to strengthen the Douluo plane, and raises the matter of the Silver Dragon King’s legacy 241.

Di Tian ultimately accepts Jiang Heng’s superiority and supports his leadership as the Dragon Clan’s path to renewed glory 242. By the finale, he becomes a God King and helps govern the ascended Douluo plane, with Bi Ji assigned the Golden Tree position to support their administration 246.
