Background / History

Fall of the Clear Sky Sect

Tang Hao was the grandson of former Clear Sky Sect leader Tang Chen and the younger brother of current sect leader Tang Xiao. He fell in love with Ah Yin, the Hundred-Thousand-Year Blue Silver Emperor, prompting Spirit Hall to pursue them. Ah Yin ultimately sacrificed herself to Tang Hao, enabling him to become a Titled Douluo; he then severely injured Pope Qian Xunji, who later died from those wounds. The fallout led to Tang Hao's expulsion from the Clear Sky Sect and contributed to the death of his father, Tang Wei. 141

Afterward, Tang Hao lived in Holy Soul Village with his son, Tang San. He later acknowledges that he neglected Tang San after the boy turned six, leaving him largely to fend for himself. 68

Conflict with Danheng

Tang Hao confronted Danheng after Tang San's failed hidden-weapon attack and perceived humiliation. Driven by anger and pride, he attempted to intimidate Danheng with the Clear Sky Hammer, then escalated to Ring Explosion and the Great Sumeru Hammer. Danheng overwhelmed him without using the Dragon Lord's power, cut off Tang Hao's arm, and took the Soul Bone within it. 12 14

The defeat left Tang Hao weakened and vulnerable to old enemies such as Yue Guan. Fearing that Danheng would target Tang San, he sought to remove his son from Heaven Dou City. 65 67 68

Reunion with Ah Yin

Ah Yin recovered enough to call Tang Hao back to Holy Soul Village and used her power to regenerate his severed arm and restore much of his strength. Tang Hao returned to fighting as a complete Titled Douluo, though he remained wary of losing his family. 76 111

Ah Yin later disappeared voluntarily with the Hundred-Thousand-Year Blue Silver Emperor right-leg Soul Bone. Tang Hao searched desperately for her, interrogating the Blue Silver King and investigating possible Soul Beast involvement. 182 184 208

Later Flight

Tang Hao repeatedly protected Tang San against Spirit Hall. During the conflict around Dugu Bo's Herb Garden, he ordered Tang San and the Shrek students to flee while he faced Subduing Demon Douluo and Yue Guan. Guimei captured Tang San as leverage, forcing Tang Hao to negotiate rather than risk his son's life. 113 116

After Tang San's condition worsened and Spirit Hall's pursuit continued, Tang Hao took him toward the Far North for training and refuge. He rejected sending Tang San into the unstable Slaughter City, fearing another loss. 211 217

In the Far North's Ice God Snowfield, Tang Hao and Tang San were cornered by Bibi Dong, Yue Guan, and Guimei. Tang Hao was severely injured and outmatched, while Tang San was killed fighting Yan, Xie Yue, and Huliena. Tang Hao's own final outcome is not stated. 229
