During midterm study sessions, Horikita insults Sudo's basketball dream and dismisses him as a student who should focus solely on academics. Their argument becomes a days-long cold war until Horikita apologizes after Ayanokoji's intervention. 24 25

Midterm Expulsion and Rescue

Sudo receives advance answers for the midterm but cannot properly memorize the English material. His score of 39 falls below the 39.8 passing threshold, and Chabashira declares him expelled. 34 35

Class D raises 100,000 private points to buy the missing mark. Major contributions from Horikita and Ayanokoji, along with Shinjo's proposal, allow Sudo to remain enrolled. 36
